Like someone else said you can PM Rob and he will surely sell you just the firing pin but it's usually easier to cut the center pin holding the firing pin in then it is to unscrew it just saying

yep Like Pietro said it may be easier to get the kit as its way easier to snap the nipple off than to unthread it although it can be done

It was a heavily used one which is "partially" why I want a second new shiny one. You can see the finger marks worn through the paint. I'm thinking about attempting to go with a polished aluminum look or find a wrap for it in the meantime. Anyone revived a worn paint job on one somehow before?

Well, I know Scott (Sterno) was working on painting his, but I think it was a plain one? He will have to clarify that for you as to whether he took off paint or already had a polished one.
If you look around the REO forum, a generous member named nerak (Karen) makes covers for them and she has a thread. You could shoot her a PM. I absolutely love mine, and it has kept my paint from wearing. I love the feel of them also, and my REO's are rarely naked now.
