I sure do love summer. Eating a huge plate of fresh salted watermelon for breakfast today.

Good morning folks!

Had purple hulled peas and tomato sandwiches for dinner last night and just polished off a bowl of fresh peaches and cottage cheese. Having a good showing with the peas, okra, yellow squash, cucumbers out the wazoo, and greens. The chickens have enjoyed the most tomatoes.

So glad you have bases covered. We'll all have you in our most positive thoughts and prayers. Already do. Loads of beaming. How long do you expect to be in hospital? Rehab after? Hope you don't have to but your Dad and (step) Mom can also babysit you at their house, too, can't they?

3-4 days in lock up...the Doc says I'll be able to function when I come home, not to worry about it. If I'm not functioning properly I'll do a little stint in re-hab/nursing home. He says the fusion will not cause pain, just incision pain for a little while.

DH is taking us to The Oasis this afternoon. I'm having a craving for their grilled catfish and yummy slaw AND I'm gonna have a beer-rita or two. (screw gluten) I'll also raise a glass, scotch, to Our Jack. May even bring home a slice of Keylime pie. Have I said yet, "Screw Gluten" (and sugar)?
