Hey there KH. Looks like you've got some sound advice here. I will second the smoothness of SS also. Am also thinking that the placement of the coil is important and it depends on your atty. For example, the closer to the edge that you build a coil on an RM2, the more you taste (and perhaps harsher for serious tootle puffers). Another example: I just placed a coil higher than usual in my O-16 (in the middle, above the posts) and the throat hit increased dramatically.

What atty are you using?

Robinowitz...broke out the SS and am really enjoying it! So far, absolutely no discomfort! Now, I wonder if I have an anti-kanthal thing happening? Weird...either way, I am happy for now. Will know more with time!

Hi Reonauts! I finally have a Reo, so now I need an atty. I need something single coil, for dtl, that unscrews for builds & wicking. My hands are messed up, & it's painful for me to try to pull tops off the bases. I know the RM2s, & Chalices screw together. Not crazy about the looks of a Chalice, & the RM2s have such small airflow. Any ideas? Thanks!

Kenna, the Chalice I got from FocalEcig is NOT a screwtop. It's a very gentle, but leak free cap that just comes off.

On my phone, so hard to link, but search for Chalice on focal's site. It's a simple design and great airflow.

There's probably some pent-up demand for the P67, so a bunch will sell "day one" - but I THINK that there will be enough that if you want one, you will get one. If your heart is set on tumbled with an SL door, that makes it more "competitive"...

My other guess is that Rob will post a "reasonable" number for sale - and will hold some back. I could be wrong, but that's what he did with the first run - he didn't want to completely sell out in minutes, and he also didn't want to "flood the market". I think this is a good approach - and I think he's hoping to have some "sale day excitement" but also to have a LITTLE inventory.

So - bottom line - I'd look and be hopeful on 8/15, and I'd have my credit card ready to complete a transaction quickly if the mod I want is there in stock!!

Me - I'm trying to justify getting another P67...
(Pretty sure I will. I have 9 squonkers, and the P67 is the most perfect.)

Hey all! First time poster. Been eyeballing the p 67s lately. I see that rob is dropping some on his site middle of next month. Anyone know if there's gonna be an f5 war for these? Would love to pick up a sweet tumbled sl!

Yea!! I just bought my first two Reos, and I love them!!
I'm a big (okay, really big) fan of the RM2, but everyone's preferences are different.

Good morning REOnauts :)
I hope everyone is healthy and happy! We just got back from a 3 week trip up the Cali/Oregon coast and back. It's a beautiful world out there.

Have a great day!
Oh how awesome!! How relaxing!!

Hi there! I am using an RM2, or the Origen Little 16. I find the RM2 to be a bit cooler, but they are both great. I will have to give the SS a try.

I find that the o-16 is warmer too (which I like). When you are playing around with the SS, perhaps try playing with coil location. Further away from the outer edge will cool things down. Keep us posted.

Cool beans! I responded to your other one before I read thru the entire "un-read" posts. Yep, that SS is so very un harsh and no detectable flavor IMHO.

What kind & size bit to get a notch or 2 bigger?
I use a common 1/16" twist bit.
Yep, I'll back Kent up on the 1/16 ... that what I used, and it turned out perfect.
But, if it turns out you want more after using it for a while, just move up one size drill, and do it again.
Remember, you can't go backwards, so only move up one size at a time ... 1/16 is one step up from a new RM2
I had to do the same thing to a Odin.

I bought a used Woodville a year ago for my first Vaperversary. It came with an Atomic. I sold them because I kept dropping it, & had such a difficult time getting the atty apart to work on. Only dropped it in my lap or on the bed, thankfully. As beautiful as it was, I didn't want to see it damaged, so it went to a better home. I think I'd have to drop a Grand out of a plane to damage it, tho!

I've contemplated a Woodville...plenty of encouragement to be found here too.
Honestly, if you could find it after you dropped it out of an airplane, you might need to get a new door, that might be gone forever, but I bet you could pick it up, dust it off, go to your parts stash and fix up anything that might be needed...and move right back along without missing a step.
I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that someone ran over their's with an earth mover.
If I remember correctly, the atty broke, but after it was cleaned up, the mod was fine.
(Someone please correct me if that's not right. :) )

Woodvils are glorious works of art. I'd love to get another one, but it would never leave my home. I think I scared myself dropping it so much. My other mods are heaviern & so is the Grand.

A kind soul messaged me about a used one he was looking to get rid of. It'll be here Friday according to usps. I'm sure I'll be back on Robs site when he drops the next batch. I'm overly excited already.

They really are beautiful. I have 6 Woodvils, and I enjoy them. Unfortunately, nobody ever gets to share in the beauty of them. They rarely leave the house.

I've only seen the pics online, but they're gorgeous online, so I'm sure that in real life they're just stunning. :)

That's sad, but I'm sure I'd be no different. ;)

The Woodvils will certainly stand up to daily wear and tear. Some people do take them every where, and use them daily. To me, they are 'sitting in the easy chair' vapes. When I'm out and about, or playing golf, one of the Grands or P67s go along.

Funny, I came by to post that I dropped my Grand earlier.
Actually, more like "threw it" - I was "gesturing" and it kinda flew out of my hand. Cement landing.
At least it was my Grand, and not the other cheap squonkbox I brought with me this trip...since it was the grand, I picked it up, wiped a drop of juice that splattered out the airhole, and vaped it. I'd bet the other mod would have literally been in peices, DOA.

Once again, the door channel got a little bent in at the bottom, so I have to slide the door UP until I bend or file it a little bit. Been done before. Also lucky it's an 0-16 on there, so opening the door up is no problem.

I, too leave my woodvils at home. One of them is a daily driver, and I could see taking it on the road if I NEEDED to, I don't think I'd freak out if it got a scratch. But on the other hand, I don't think I see myself travelling without my Grand. Period. It's just rock-solid, old failthful, with a few little battle scars...(and even that's just at corners and edges!).

Drip tip got a scratch. And I like it - might have to go find it and get another, but I'm pretty sure it was a $3 Fasttech special.

Congratulations! Pics when you get it (a "requirement" around here). You are in for a ride! Let us know how we can "help" you choose your next one.
I have one 18490 Woodville, a Mini 2.1, 1 P-67 and 2 Grands that get all of my vaping attention. Each has a special place and a different juice. And Rule, I hear you about the Woodville being next to your easy chair. Kind of like the wooden pipes of yesterday year. Tis a piece of art but still Vapes like a Mac truck.

Thank you! Are you building spaced or contact coils with the SS wire?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
right now contact. I may play with spaced later on. Maybe not. I don't tinker much. Find something that works and stick with it til someone (Robinowitz) talks me into something else. lol

Welcome!!! So kewl you got a p-67 but yeah on sale day, have everything ready to go. They could last a bit......they could be gone in minutes. Most important to have everything ready to go if you have your heart set on a particular one. Grab it and check out! Have back up ones ready. The site usually goes down for about an hour I think before the sale so he can load it all up.

welcome back hun!!! I'm sure you can get someone to drill out the rm2 for ya even if you have to send it to someone here to do it. You might wanna look at some dual coil attys that can built with one or two. Most do have pop on tops, but one of my derringers, clone, comes off really easy, the Rm8 is tougher to get off, but I haven't looked into removing an Oring. Don't pay attn dunno if there is one or two.

Good morning REOnauts :)

jup, ran it over with this.....had chains on the tire. Went to his truck, grabbed a carto he had in there.....vaped the rest of the work day

I could easily see that being an "easy chair" device. :)
I didn't think (at first) that I'd want to take my Grand out, but I take it with me out and about. I work part time, and I even take it to work.
I honestly don't know why I ever thought it would just be an "at home" device.
The guys at work tease me about it looking like a walkie talkie.
But, they don't vape, so I'm sure it does look strange if you've never seen one before.
