@PapawBrett,

I hope you realize that U.S. regulators have determined E-cigs Create Hazards Around Trucks

"WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued a safety advisory for those who use battery-powered e-cigarettes or vaporizers around commercial vehicles, citing potential hazards including explosions, serious personal injuries and fires...."

Please stay safe PapawBrett, & wait until you get home to vape.

I'd love to have a good pic of yours with a person standing beside it for perspective. I always post that pic when I talk about the durability of Reos

Just need to get thru work today and then I have a 3 day weekend. I also have a Nuppin en route...

Here ya go, Deb.......maybe this'll work. This is my machine--the pic is a couple years old and I didn't have a full set of chains on at that time. I did when I decapitated my Grand this spring however.....

Thank you.
I'm just not finding what I am looking for.
Specifically...
All I have is 32 wire.
I use a 14ga blunt needle to wrap and build with.
I prefer a 1.5 - 1.8 vape
My coils come in at that with 4 wraps.

Now if I twist 2 strands of wire...
4 wraps gave me a .98 that I was able to pull out a bit and hit 1. since I hadn't trimmed off the tail yet.
5 wraps only went to 1.12

I guess I am confused as to why more wire takes more wraps. I would think the current would slow down.

I do like that the twisted wire seems to give off more vapor - at least it's a bit fun for now...but it won't be proper to take to work
( I can vape at my desk)

Years ago my ADV used a coil of 32g kanthal wire and 4 wraps paralleled around a big fat wick was 1Ω dead on. There are pics of it on here someplace.

If you use 2 wires, by either wrapping them together, side by side (parallel coil), or by twisting them together, it halves the resistance - because the electricity can choose to go in 2 ways rather than one.

My opinion is that twisted and braided wire has a bit more of a kick to it - that throat hit, and that's something i'm not a fan of. But that is also affected by your nic level and your PG/VG ratio.

They are also a PITA to make but that depends on how lazy you are.

I've vaped at work for 4 years; sometimes i'll annoy them with clouds - but mostly i behave!

There's more wire = more "room" for the electricity, so it's less resistance.
Think of it as water in a pipe: bigger pipe (or two pipes) and more water can flow, easier.

However, other things come into play as well:
- More metal to heat up. So if you make a coil with a lot of wire, it can take a second to heat up...
- More surface area - that's what your twists or extra wraps are getting you - there's more juice-to-coil contact, and that's why you get more vapor.

It's a compromise, and you get to fiddle until you find what you like!
