You might also want to make sure you cut a "V" in the end of your feed tube
I did something similar to the feed tube. I had read it somewhere so that it would feed properly. I don't need problems and appreciate all the support I can get. So far I am really liking this Reo with the #8 topper.

It's the part that covers the firing pin - the black part with a screw through the middle? In the FIRST run P67's these were painted wood - so you can't get them wet. In the new batch they are plastic (peek).

Congratz - that's an awesome mod (I have a hammertone).
:D

Just bought a P67 Hammertone, Rob said it had a peek insert, does anyone know what that means?

The peek/plastic is a nice upgrade. My wooden one got dunked and swelled so much that I had to tap the door off. I was about to sand the block down but it dried out over a few days but is still a little tight.

Congrats and welcome @Diver9543 . You might also want to make sure you cut a "V" in the end of your feed tube that goes inside the bottle. This will help make sure the tube doesn't accidentally suck itself to the bottom or side of the bottle.

There will be many more bumps and bruises along the way for your Reos. One of mine has been blown out the side of a riding mower. I went over and picked it up, took the drip tip off and blew the grass out of the tip and off the deck, put the top cap back on, squonked it, then vaped it... It has a few nicks and dings on it, but vapes outstanding. Try doing that with 99.9% of other devices out there!!!

I've run over a lot of stuff with my mower but jeeze, you gotta keep a better grip on your Reo!:)

Thank you C, @supertrunker and everyone else for trying to help us (by commenting, "liking", or lurking but still giving silent prayers, etc) that we find..

By the way, Darrel, you've been missed but not forgotton by me, especially that wry sense of humor you sling my direction, my brother from another mother!

There is no language that exsists or has been invented yet to express the gratitude I have for the folks I have met here (who my gf kindly refers to as the tiny people who reside inside this iPad)

Your true friend 'til the end, folks

It really is a matter of the coils you build. If you only ever build above an Ohm then it's largely a matter of preference, but when you begin to go lower it's important that you know your batteries, the supplier of said batteries and in any case you test your coils. Then test them again with the atty fully assembled. Yes.

'i make the same coil all the time and it always comes out the same - no need to meter it' - wrong.

'Well the 35A is a pulse rating and as vapers we only ever pulse fire the batteries anyway' - sure, until a firing pin stays stuck on, then what?

If you always buy the best batteries you can afford and build coils that suit them then even if they fire nonstop all that happens is your atty gets (rather) hot and your battery discharges. No fires, no explosions, no problem!

Life is a game of risk assessment and the fact that a lot of us gambled on smoking and got out alive doesn't mean now is the time to take silly risks with volatile batteries.

T
excellent post and I agree entirely! I always meter, several times, and won't skimp on batts.

ran out to the vape shop for some SS316L wire that I saw in Sloths tube video. In the mean time I built a single coil at .4 ohms for my so so Deringer and goodness gracious, it came to life.
hmmmmmm I have been using 316L for duals at .5 ohms in my derringer, and jup.....wow! The flavor difference is amazing. may try a single. Would sure be easier to build.

Just bought a P67 Hammertone, Rob said it had a peek insert, does anyone know what that means?
wahooooo BUT.......you called Rob and he found you a blem?? that wuz mine! I told earthrocker long time ago to have Rob make a mistake on a HT and save it for me!! lmao

Darn, darn, diddle darn! My new Reo is now broken in. I was getting in my jeep and dropped it on the concrete in my driveway. Oh well, I knew it would happen. I just had hoped it would not be in the first week.
Glad you're really liking it! Jup first time it takes a fall is rough, but the amazing part is the durability. I've bounced mine off asphalt, and concrete a number of times. Tiny nic in the paint with the asphalt, but nothing else.

Hi all! New to squonking and I'm suddenly smitten with it! I'm getting a couple regulated squonkers as well, but this Reo will absolutely stay in my collection and rotation. :)

‘THE NEEDS OF THE MANY’ IS AN EVIL PHILOSOPHY’

'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few’ are well known words to any Trekkie and indeed anyone who has simply dropped into that universe to watch a few of the movies. They are synonymous with self-sacrifice and can be perceived as truly heroic. However, what may be true in one beautiful instance, in which an individual gives his life to save his friends, may not be true when extended to a wider context.

When looked at from another perspective, however, the ‘needs of the many’ is not just dangerous; it’s cruel and even frightening. This darker side to the Vulcan philosophy in history is ‘filled with groups who have decided that their needs were more important than others. The result: slavery, genocide.’

Another word for ‘the many’ is, of course, the ‘majority’. The majority has a loud voice and loud voices tend to be heard. ‘The few’ is obviously the ‘minority’. The voice of the minority is softer, sometimes so soft it is almost silent but that doesn’t mean that these whispered words carry no meaning. In saying that ‘The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few’, it is effectively being argued that it is only logical and right for the majority to neglect the needs of the minority.

In the big wide world ‘the few or the one’ is not a hero bravely sacrificing themselves for the good of their crew, they are the silent sectors of society who are classified as ‘different’ or even ‘marginal’. They have no choice in the sacrifices they make; they are coerced into making sacrifices everyday in the name of the majority and the societal expectations that are forced upon them.

In many instances, the minority is regarded solely in terms of that which makes them different. This separation between ‘them’ and ‘us’ is very dangerous. It can be dehumanising, reframing the ‘other’ as deviant or inferior. This is the basis of emotional and physical violence that can be perpetrated against minorities. Those who happily fall into the standard of acceptability feel somehow entitled to abuse those who, through no fault of their own, fall outside of what is perceived to be ‘normal’.

Even where individual abuse or violence is not an issue the majority who refuses to listen to the needs of the few is still a bully. In an environment where the majority is closed minded and ignorant, they will force their opinions and perspectives upon those who may be ill equipped to defend themselves. Through fear and vilence anyone who trades freedom for security deserves neither.

The biggest battle that we face in our social evolution is the path towards equality and unity, the many and the few need to join together to become the one. Unity alone, however, is not enough, we have to learn to accept that while ‘we’ should stand together, ‘we’ will always be made up of hundreds of millions unique individuals. Each one of these individuals has their own life, voice and inherent worth.

In the spirit of this :offtopic:'post (or blog if you prefer I take my ramblings there)

The utilitarian principle was established by the English Philosopher Jeremy Bentham in the late 1700's, and it's essentially an attempt to evaluate actions by their consequences and weigh up the benefit for all as a result.

He was a designer of some note and made prisons where a guard could be centrally placed and overlook everything. Because society as a whole benefited.

Much as i hate to pull people up on quotes the 'trades security for freedom' quote is from Benjamin Franklin and it's a great shame that nobody like that has emerged in the last 200 years.

Shame on you. Use a sanding disk face on where the atty goes. After 24 hours when there's nothing but a stub left and your left hand is bleeding, just buy a low profile Reo.

It was $15 shipped
I do have a real Reo :)
