Doing some serious thinking about a Reo Grand LP, I've never owned one before, and definately starting to fall for them. Done quite a bit of reading here, his website.....one thing I'm not clear on.....are they designed for the IMR button top batteries, or would a flat top 18650 of good quality work? Thanks!
I use flat tops in mine. Same LG HG2's I use in everything.

Hope you decide to get one, they're amazing! Do you have BF attys already? If not, how do you vape? ie: MTL or DLH, what ohms do you build, how much airflow do you like? etc. The p67's are also very nice, but not certain when he's gonna do another run of em. He's got some medical issues going on, so needs to recover from that. Speaking of which, has anyone heard an update?

O 16 initial thoughts. Wow, just wow. First small atty i have liked in 2 years. And i love it! Easy, familiar center coil build with amazing flavor and the draw is very satisfying. Ive got it open on the 2 biggest air holes aimed diagonally at my coil. .32 ohms parallel 28g SS and it is warm and just lovely. Oh man.

Only 2 minor issues. One is it has a slight whistle. What do you think, is that perhaps a coil height thing? The coil is dead even with the airholes. Even wicked up, i see the coils center when i look through the holes (height wise)

The other is i also got a syner stubby driptip and it doesnt fit well. I struggled to get it in, didnt go in all the way then struggled to get it out. Any suggestions?

But by god reonauts. You did not steer a sloth wrong on this one. Dont think it will replace stumpys but it is the first atty i have used since i started using stumpys that i will adopt into rotation, and honestly, probably more than 50% of the time.

All I can tell you is that I have many a bit expensive driptips that are either impossible to fit into my RM2's, or, if i can get them in I need small pliers (covered of course) to get them out!

My question for you is where do I get these O16's and what is their price?

Really glad you're liking it! I keep going back and forth. I read things that make me think it doesn't have enough airflow for me, then I read things that make me think it does. I'm gonna have to just check out a clone now that they have em, and see what I think of it.

Hey sweetie I would suggest a clone first cuz you end up gittin attys and then getting frustrated with em cuz they're different and you don't wanna fool with em, then going back to yur Rm2s lol

I admit i have strong lungs and i DLH'd cigs, but lung hitting this is easy and comfortable. Try a clone, my mind is blown by this atty big time. If i can get it to stop whistling and get a driptip i like (i hate white driptips, otherwise the stock one is fine) this may become my favorite atty.

The vapor density is awesome.

I will do this when I can. I was scared off from it thinking I wouldn't be able to get as much air from it as my derringer at least. But you have convinced me. :)

Ya not sure. I dont remember the Derringer well enough. Probably not as much. The airflow is way down from my stumpy wide open. But its still a great DLH and im really digging it

Glad you like it!

I'd fiddle with angles maybe - mine (I have both authentic and clone) don't whistle... A LITTLE "hiss" but nothing like a Narda...:D.

Tip-wise, I think you just have to try 'til you find what works for you.
I love this shape on them - just a little taller than the one that comes with but not much...

I know, it's a bit much for a drip tip...but

for ($2.05) was just nicer than

($0.91) or

($1.03)

It IS a SNUG fit, but do-able...

Those look great! When you say angle, you mean of the airholes?

Great to hear your liking it Tim... I know once I put this atty on both of my grands, it was no turning back and everything else was sold, PIF'd, or thrown out as I has absolutely no use for anything else.

As Train already suggested, try a little different angle to the coil. If that doesn't work, try raising or lowering the coil to the airflow. I run mine with the bottom of the coil to the center of the AFC, so I'd say a little higher than normal. I have never gotten a whistle but it is quite turbulent at times...

This is the tip I use on both of mine. I did have to cut off some of the stem on the bottom and trim the OD of the stem in order for it to set completely flush to the atty, but once its done, its done... Mine fit perfectly flush and the OD matches perfectly to the atty...

Deb, if you run a Derringer wide open, you will probably not like the O-16 then. I am thinking it would have the same air as the Derringer with only one airhole open on each side. I will say the air on mine are different when I went from dual coil down to a single Z-coil. I still have both sides open and of course there is more air than with the dual... I would never suggest anyone try the clone over the original as I have only read a couple people having both and no one has convinced me they are anywhere close to each other... Quality or vape wise...

Thanks everybody for the info on the batteries! Budget is pretty tight right now, but was able to order the unfinished LP with matching button and a couple of imr button top 18650s. I'm partial to silver so that was right up my alley. I only have one squonk-ready atty, a No Pity clone, with the extra squonk pin (as a mtl rda the flavor was exceptional with this....so this ought to work temporarily) But down the line want to get a smaller single coil type of atty such as the reomizer 2, and the hastur V2s also has caught my eye. Really stoked to get this mod, have thought about a Reo for a long time now.
