Gotta correct the record though Deb - rayon is no more finnicky than cotton. It's no different - the finnickiness you describe is the kind of finnickiness JeremyR describes, which is maybe true if you vape like he does (HIGH wattage on 30g coils in tanks etc on regulated mods where juiceflow becomes incredibly important).

Pull through wick, cut, tuck, juice, vape. =Rayon =Cotton
Probably =RxW

We moved in the late fall and the purge unearthed several coats I hadn't worn since quitting smoking. That meant they'd spent almost 4 years in a closet.

Things of note:

1. They STILL smelled of smoke.
2. There were partially full decks of cigarettes in 2 of them. As I put them in the garbage, I was struck by just how little regard I had for them - no urge to consume, no digust, no nothing. I just don't smoke.
3. There was paper money (not much) in almost all them - something I haven't touched in 3 years. Oddly, I regarded the notes with more negative opinion than the cigs (hey, all money is good - it just made me realize I care more passionately about not using paper money than not using cigarettes; something that made me smile).
3. I've reeeeeally gotta do purges more often.

I used to roll my own cigs, and I'd keep the butts, and when I ran out I'd empty the butts and roll a cig out of those remains.

Daaaayum, my "smoke" tastes better now!!

Reminds me if a puzzle I heard years ago.
A hobo can make one full cigarette from seven butts.
If he finds forty nine cigarette butts, how many cigarettes can he make?

life is definitely easy for us mechies, love it. But you even went through a lot trimming your tails just so in your vid, maybe on the 016, not sure which one I watched recently.

that makes me curious as to why. Sometimes I like just being able to go in a store, buy something. No filling out forms online, no cashier asking for my phone number, no wondering if where I'm sticker the card has a skimmer or whatever the call em on it. just.....here's yur money, gimme my stuff and out the door I go lol

Yes I did - because of the way airflow hits the Z coil, I trim it at an angle. And, I like pretty wicks. So I do make a few cuts because I like to.
Has nothing to do with performance. Nothin'.
Rayon is wicked just like cotton. Slightly thicker but that's it, simply because rayon shrinks during use whereas cotton expands.

I wicked with cotton for well over a year. So I know cotton well. And it takes me literally no more time to wick with rayon than it did with cotton, but it does last longer in the coil than cotton so I rewick less. (yeah, it doesn't last 6 months like RxW, but if it did, I'd tear it out at a week anyway--don't like the thought of that kind of longevity).

This is NOT to suggest rayon is right and cotton is wrong! This is simply to make it clear: it's not harder to wick with rayon. I think it is easier. YMMV but rayon doesn't need a drastic haircut like the regulated freaks in the rayon thread proclaim :D

I know this sounds weird as hay, but, you Canadians have the most beautiful paper money ever. Especially the purple bills...my god...beautiful. Why can't our money be that purdy? :(

gotcha. On the porch so much of the rayon talk has been of trimming just so like Jeremy says So I thought ya had to for it to perform better.

too funny, I've said that for years! We have ugly money. The one thing I don't like about cash is......it's filthy. I've worked in banks, been a cashier a lot, been treasurer of several organizations.....money is really nasty. But it would definitely be nicer if it wuz purple!! :D

Yeah...I'm not, what's the word...belittling what Jeremy says. But, in my experience it is truly inapplicable to mech setups like I use. Makes more sense for high-powered regulated setups where the coil's frying juice at an insane pace. For us - you can literally wick it just like cotton, even density-wise, and it'll be fine (but, it'll shrink - so thicker is better for sure).

Ya! Purple cash would make it so much better! And blue!!

Heh - my issues with paper (actually, it's plastic here in Canada) money are 1) having to go to ATM's - inconvenient and costly surcharges, and 2) change. On the latter point, we have many taxes on purchased goods, none of which result in a round final price. Unless you keep a change purse and pick through it with every transaction, you end up with a pocket full of jingle every day - a physical tax byproduct, if you will, that puts the onus to manage on you.

Petty issues, I suppose (other than the real cost of using ATM's), but it is so easy here to buy things with most any type of card. Tap and go. No menu to traverse, no codes to enter, no swiping or inserting, just hold your card to the reader and be on your way. It's a fraction of the friction (that sounds like Dr Seuss) of using money and available in about 95% of all retail stores up here, or at least where I hang out (and I live on an island off of an island).

It's colourful, to be sure

It's actually plastic now, with holographic watermarks and other anti-counterfeiting elements. Back when it was paper, kids used to love to mark the $5 bill up like this...

Most every ex-British colony (save... cough, cough... for one) has colourful money. Check out New Zealand's or Australia's.

Sooo... about $25 USD, then :)

Montreal is a tres cool town. Love it there. What's the show?
Yep. :D
Montreal is interesting for sure. I really liked Quebec City, thought it was otherworldly. Didn't get to explore much in Montreal so I look forward to doing so in April. We are going to go see Katatonia, a Swedish rock band.

Nova Scotia was epic. Unbelievable. You been? If not: go.

Quebec is like a small city transplanted from France 200 years ago. It's very unique. Montreal is prolly North America's most European city. English is spoken in the minority. French (obviously), German, Greek, Spanish, you name it. It has a very modern European sense of fashion and design.

Nova Scotia is a whole different kind of cool. All the maritime provinces are. De accent's a wild ting down aroun' town, innit, boyo?

I'll have to see if Spotify has some Katatonia. Given your own musical work, I'm sure their unique.

Katatonia is by no means my favorite music - but, I do like it and think their live show will be awesome.

Yeah. Quebec City seemed straight out of Europe. Cobblestone streets, French, good coffee, beautiful buildings...it was epic.

Montreal - very interesting. I look forward to getting to know it better. It is the closest city to me - less than 2 hours, yet I have only been once. shameful!

I have a Discovery pass for Canadian National parks. Good through 2018. Chrissy and I intend to visit the west sometime next year - BC and Alberta. I sincerely hope we can meet, my friend.

I have about 80 Canadian bucks right now. Headed to Montreal in April to see a show. @KentA come along
I haven't been to Montreal in far too long. As a young wild man I used to make that trip regularly, but lately have been exploring farther east & west.

I've taken several motorcycle tours from Toronto to Prince Edward Island & Nova Scotia. We couldn't have better neighbors.

Sloth, put Ottawa in your itinerary. I usually avoid cities, but that is a good one.
