Yea, I was a little bummed about the BF pin sizing, but as I use derringers on my tube mechs at the moment, it didn't really bother me much. lol. Ordering a couple more in the next few months isn't a bad idea anyways considering their price. lol

today I noticed that my rm8 is bigger than the cig green derringer I have, and I haven't tried it yet, but I'm betting that the screws I bought at McM Carr will fit the rm 8 cuz they don't fit the cig green one that was missing a screw. But a wonderful reonaught sent me 3 sizes that he got at FT and the M2.5 fits it. So @puffon I don't think it's the screws, I think it's the clone. I just built the rm 8 today then later realized the size difference, so next time I build it I'll check to see if the screws I bought fit the Rm8. Cuz I'm bettin they will
Yep, most atty post screws are M2, M2.5, M3 or SAE4-40
510 pins are M2.5 or M3, (some are M2, which are too small for a proper squonk hole)

Did you decide to follow up on that one? Or not?
I did message the guy and he did say something about working something out but in the end, but I figured I couldn't prove that there was anything wrong with it and that I didn't just want some money back. I don't think he realized that it needed repair so I just let it go. Just to clarify, the repair didn't cost the price of a new reo but the price I paid, plus the repair almost equaled a new one.

But I got an extra purple sparkly door and a couple batteries in like-new condition so I'm not too bummed about it. I also ordered some spare parts and 2 RM4s in the same order that I was planning on ordering anyway so I got it all for the same shipping price.

Just an FYI from a guy that's been around these parts for over 5yrs now, when it comes to AW batteries....Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor is the place you want to buy them from. Every other vendor I have seen in 5yrs has been duped at one point or another to sell fake AW's... RTD has never sold a fake one to date!!!

While on the subject of batteries, be very aware of any and all Efest products as well, as they are not what they are advertised to be. You can go to Batteries and Chargers and look up any of Mooch's threads to get the actual tested results of almost any battery on the market for vaping. He does the actual testing himself and is damn good at it. Very trusted source when it comes to batteries and vaping.

Lastly, I would caution anyone that is looking at buying any LG HG2's right now, that there is a batch of fakes that are showing up all over the internet and being passed off as originals. You can find info on that from Mooch as well. LG has stopped producing the HG2 and is working on a new 18650 battery to replace it also...

I think that covers most of the battery stuff for right now. All I can say is "buyer beware" when it comes to batteries. Just because its $0.50 or $1 cheaper somewhere else doesn't constitute its a good deal. I only buy from tried and tested battery sellers and have learned my lesson once in the 5yrs I have been vaping and it will never happen again!!!

Well said and researched Muzichead! Thanks for posting. Saving a $1 here or there can cost lots more in the overall scheme (plus I never like supporting clone folks anyway).

Or chargers for that matter. The only time i ever had a battery explode on me was when the cheap (not!) charger i was using developed a fault.
This was before IMR batteries and we were advised to use protected ones. There was tinsel all over my kitchen and dining room when that bad boy went off and scorch marks up the wall.

    HRH was not impressed.

So: always make sure you can see your charger, put it on a stone tile or other non-flammable surface and consider charging them in a LIPO bag. Do not leave them unattended or when you sleep.

I've never found it worth shopping around for. I've been with RTD since he opened, bought my first charger and batts from him, don't even look elsewhere.

I'm the same. When I used to use AWs, I only bought them from either RTD or Provape. But since using Sonys, and more recently LGs, the only place I buy them is from RTD.

I got the black one, although I think it's really a Copper Vein. I'll know more when it arrives probably Wed.
It's a black wrinkle with copper vein door.
Cleaned and DeOxit every battery change, should be in good shape.
