Well, there's NO reason why you can't still hang out on ECF and visit with friends....I mean, being active on a forum is not a bad habit that you need to break. So many good friends have come and gone. It's just a shame that forums are tied to hobbies or behaviors because they are really just (to me) places to make friends.

This is the first forum I've ever been a part of, and it seems to me that I've made some really good friends.....it's like we've fought in a war together or something. I find letting go of the people as they come and go almost harder than the quitting cigs was.

Just my thoughts. I think I'm feeling sentimental and nostalgic here at the year's end....
I agree whole heartedly with you Jan... I think I was funnin' ya'll in that last post, but I think I'll still be hanging out for a while. Pretty much I spend most of my time here, a Safety Razor forum, and FB so I am still socializing with peoples all the time. I do miss a bunch of folks from the Reo forum. It just seems like they all disappeared after Rob closed it over there. Oh well, time does roll right on down the road past us and sometimes without warning!!

Hope you stick around Muzic. Always enjoyed your posts. I too miss the old forum, but at least we got something here to keep it going. We can all still help future Reonauts, and chat as well. I don't log on everyday, but always read stuff.

This FDA thing has a black cloud over everything involving vaping - at the moment. I'm not wanting to start a political thing, but something tells me it could all change back when the new Trump administration gets in there. Can tell people this much, Trump literally HATES all the Regulations that are killing business's in the U.S. vaping is a promising thing and has a lot of hope for smokers out there. My brother-in-law is having to quite smoking, and the Doctors have recommended vaping. They all know it's FAR LESS damaging than real cigs.

"No offense but..." was one of 2016 most hated phrases. Not sayin, just sayin.

Trump literally HATES all the Regulations that are killing business's in the U.S.

He is also one to turn a blind eye to important issues (global climate change for example). I could see him wrapping up all things vaping and gifting it to big tobacco. Hope not, but I cant imagine hes going to protect vaping.

My way of looking at the situation is it was ok for republicans to be as disrespectful on a grand scale towards the democrats for the last 8 years yet the democrats can't say anything negative toward Trump or any republican without them crying fowl!!! I think the old saying goes something like....suck it up buttercup!!

The only truthful thing Trump said on the campaign trail was that the election would be rigged... He said it on several occasions, including the last 2 debates. Funny thing was it was rigged in his favor and now that its all over and done with he denies even insinuating it was rigged!!! There will be an extremely large microscope on this incoming administration...

My way of looking at the situation is it's not ok for healthcare providers to whack up premiums by the 68% i was just offered for HRH and i don't much care which party that is.

That is what a rigged market looks like and it's not the users sorry, consumers, that benefit from it and as we age it'll be a great game of Russian roulette at this rate. My work was quoted a $90k increase.

My dentist always tells the truth, because i have him by the Max Walls* and i'll squeeze if he hurts me. i expect politicians to lie all the time and i'm not disappointed, but i am annoyed.

As far as politics goes, the truth is that most everyone votes by their wallet, and Trump won precisely because he is not a politician. Look at the stature in general of them all. High minded, high achieving philanthropists with the best interests of their fellow man at heart?
Sure. Err, no not really.

They are derided as fools that never worked a day most of them, and you only have to look at the candidates against them to see a glaring paucity of talent all over. Career brown-nosing and troughing; nothing more.

I just watched a program on Netflix, called 'Requiem for the American Dream' by Norm Chomsky. I urge anyone to watch it, regardless of your political bent. If not Netflix, I'm sure it's available on YouTube. It's a little over an hour in length.
You may dismiss Chomsky as a Libearal lunatic, alarmist, socialogical genius, high brow intellectual, or whatever. But I challenge anyone to dispute his hypotheses. It's alarming.

I'll pass on the cookies, thank you. I finished my Christmas junk food binge while watching the Breaking Bad marathon for the past 3 days. Good series it was but I'm feeling depressed after tagging along with Walter White for 3 days and nights. I think I'll turn on the news to cheer me up. :)

My dad is friends with Chomsky. I have never met him, but have the opportunity and should really do so.

Brilliant man. But he's highly polarizing; one of those people that conservatives love to hate. He was on Richard Nixon's 'Hate List', mostly due to his anti Vietnam war activism in the late '60s and early '70s.

Yeah. Super nice guy though. He comes off in his lectures and interviews as a polarizing and highly intellectual person (which he is both) but one-on-one he is down to earth and humble. My dad is a conservative (well, kind of) but they get along very well.
