Ok, I must stop buying attys again. I tend to go overboard when I find ones I like. This week I got another Hadaly and another O-16. I have 3 of each now. That should hold me for awhile.
Not sure what it is, but I'm not buying that for one minute!!!

My usual MO is, I buy one, if it appeals to me. If I like it, I get a 2nd. If I like like them, I get a 3rd. I like like both the O-16 and the Hadaly. The only other atty I have 3 of is the Manta2. I probably would have got a 3rd Stumpy; but they were discontinued before I got the chance.

I don't get Harry's business model. You would think with as popular as that atty was, (and lets be honest here as it was the BF crowd that made it what it became), why for the name of god has he not offered at least another run of the original or better yet a V2 of it? Instead he would rather make a non-BF regulated device!! Why bite the hand that fed you through late 2015 and most of 2016? Makes absolutely no sense to me. Kinda like Nareg not wanting to make his atty for the masses. He opened the door for the O-Atty and the Hadaly to take all his business. It like they don't even care.. Especially with the regulations that are looming!!!

I agree. The business decisions some of these modders make are astounding, sometimes. The bf community was practically begging for another Stumpy run. He could have sold them as fast as he could produce them. Same with Nareg and MEB. I've seen M Attys go for $1k on the collector market, which is insane, IMO. JD Tech could have sold many more Manta2s, but decided to go off in another direction.
Meanwhile, Hadaly's are hot right now, and the last 2 I bought were 25% and 30% off MRP. Not complaining, mind you, but Hadalys sell whether they're on sale or not.

I hear ya on the M Atty... Crazy stuff happening there. My opinion on the Manta was that it met its maker in the guy that was modding them!! Instead of working with JD Tech on refining the design he threw his overinflated ego at them, which also was a bad business model. It wasn't like people didn't want them... I think that also led to most of the mfg's including or selling a BF pin separately with their atty's to deflate that ego and bank account!! Shortly there after came the cloned Sunbox!! I'm just rambling now...

Yeah, the Manta2 was/is a good atty. But there were improvements that could have been made. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned. Also, there were a couple other attys at the time getting more hype, by a couple wanna be reviewers. The Manta could have been a great atty, with some refining.

I liked the Manta for a while. It had great flavor. I just can't get into top-air-to-side-air attys. They always result in gurgles for me, no matter how I build or wick them. I've settled on straight up side air. True top air I like better than the top-to-side design, but the flavor is lacking. I never really worry about leaking anyway. If it leaks a little bit, I wipe it on my pant leg and everyone tells me I smell like waffles. Attracts the lady sloths. Then I get to pop a bag of popcorn and watch Chrissy beat them off me. All while enjoying a vape.

Why would I watch television when this is a daily routine. :D

I like the idea of top to side air. In theory, it seems like a great idea. But so far, it hasn't been executed well, by those who have tried. The Manta was close. It just needed more air. Other than that, the reduced chamber made it a decent flavor atty. My issue with the Maker is that the chamber is too big. I still have 2 of them I vape once in a while.

The Maker has its following and I liked it for a week or so, but man, talk about a weird atty. The chuff is hysterical on that thing - and the maker of the maker (woohoo, pun?) refuses to offer any middleground for the driptips. He also refuses to listen to other desires people have, and I find it mesmerizing. He just doesn't seem to care about what people think of the atty.

Yeah, the chuff that comes with it is over the top ridiculous. But I have found that it does better with a large bore tip, than it does with many 510 tips. I picked up a couple friction fit acrylic tips that seem to work about the best.
Just another example of a poor business model. There is the makings of a pretty good atty. But he dropped the ball.

I was getting ready to sell my Maker, but realized I'd only been "trying" new builds in it. Once I put my typical simple dual 27 gauge kanthal 0.5 ohm setup in there, and got the airflow right - it popped for me, and I've been running it ever since.
Alongside Nuppins and O-16's and Narda's and Hadalys, it's holding it's own.

Worth a mention here - Also running Hellfire Fury. Never cloned, far as I know but it's a nice size/shape for a Reo at 18mm, and a pretty successful side/top air design.

I'd try a Havoc - with my builds, I'm ok with the deck. But their stuff is so danged pricey!
