Don't bother me a bit... I'm a 50 year old American... The Russians can either ramp-up production / availability, and offer the same unit at a price- point comparable to the clone, or as a consumer, I will buy the clone. Why would I want a "Lite" version??

I'd rather buy the kayfun Lite because I'd never use the adjustable air control and the filling valves have a tendency to die. Also more importantly it's shorter as a result.

I'm speaking of the price "The Russian" can be obtained through a CoOp... $65.00 USD is a far cry less expensive than we can purchase a Kayfun 3.1 for... Hell, it's still a bargain at $114.00. Your point is noted though, and I respect your views...;)

As for the makers / designers.. AFAIC, they go into this knowing it's more or less open-source. Even Imeo (Of GG fame) stated numerous times he does not care about the clones.. He has no patent on his devices, and the cost to do so would be VERY expensive..

The makers / designers of quality gear will ALWAYS have their loyal customer base.. These clones when manufactured with quality, serve to put quality vape gear into the hands of the majority of us who do not enjoy being on months-long waiting lists, at an affordable cost..

And to add to this...

The word clone around some parts has some negative connotation, as if there is an understood level of inferiority or just plain bad item. This is often very far from the truth. There are examples of crap, garbage, poor workmanship and so on on BOTH sides of the fence.

Shrug....I have NO issue buying a clone when it's quality. No shame in it either. I own devices from both ends of the spectrum, and all points in between. What matters to me is if I dig it, if it works, and if I found it to be a good value for my hard earned dollar.

Hate to burst your "Co-Op" bubble peeps....but Kebo in China is a thief!

Kebo is a FRAUD!

You can clearly see that this website's images and information have been copied and Kebo is NOT the manufacturer!

If you buy anything from Kebo, you had better be expecting to receive a pile of GARBAGE!

Blame PBusardo if anyone... He is the one who posted the link for vendors to purchase the device from...

http:/..................../wordpress/ (tasteyourjuice.com)

Regardless, the vendors are getting it somewhere....

Although it will be a little while before I can get to the review on this item, I’ve been permitted to post the following information:

The Russian Pre-sale will begin on Monday, July 1st.

Vendors will be able to purchase the device HERE. (Same link I posted in my CoOp interest thread)

I believe users will be able to purchase HERE .

Minimum retail price: EU : 89,99 €, UK : 79,99 GBP, USA: 114.99 USD

I think Shek's point is that Kebo is a distributor, not a manufacturer, and the maker of the Russian seems to be evading identification. This is a dubious situation if you think about it. The only association that Kebo seems to have with the Russian are some photos borrowed from a German website. For all we know Kebo invested in a few Kayfun Alphas, rebranded them, sent them to reviewers to create buzz, and are now waiting for the cash to roll in. If this is not the case, then who makes the Russian? Where is Kebo getting their stock?

If you go back a few pages, "Todd" tells you in his video review who the manufacturer actually is.....and it isn't Kebo.

I haven't watch PB's review yet, but if he says his came from Kebo....then somebody's spreading misinformation OR PB may have gotten a clone of a clone?

China is not known for making high-quality clones, just sayin'.

I dunno... The Terminator C and MKB-TS are some pretty top-shelf goods. The threading and machining are quite nice. I was VERY happy with them, as are many others.

Agreed . . . The Terminator C is a very good example of a Tier One product for a very reasonable price.

However, I have to believe that the Chinese manufacturers make the highest profits on the $15.00 and less items.

I just carefully listened to Todds's review again... He stated at the begining, "The Russian" IS made in China by a company called UCT...(Upper Class Technology) See 2m 12s in the vid....

Thank goodness it's not Together Best Company, or whatever it is that Tobeco abbreviates.

I didn't hear the China part....but I did hear the UCT ...(Upper Class Technology).

I've already done multiple searches and found absolutely NOTHING in the known wholesale sites.
