Could you guys help me out with this? I started with V4L, so have KR808 cartos, etc. How do they work with these mods? I can't figure out how the juice gets into the carto. I had come to the conclusion that they must only work with "510" stuff, yet Jaguar and others seem to have transitioned quickly to these bottom fed mods. Does your old KR808 paraphanalia work with, say, a REO, or do you have to get all new stuff? I swear I've read these threads and gone to the manufacturer's sites trying to parse this out, but am still confused. Thanks.

I do not have an adapter for my KR8, I ordered a 510 atty & drip tip for my mod and use that. I haven't tried using a carto so I don't know how that would work. That being said, the 510 dripping either from above or below seems to give me better flavor and vapor than the cartos, YMMV.

I am planning to get an adapter to use my cartos just to try different things, and make switching flavors easier. With the atty, you should clean it when changing flavors, or just have one for tobacco flavors, one for coffee flavors, and one for candy/fruity/sweet flavors. I put some caramel candy on my 555 atty and yuck, took forever to get the flavor right even after rinsing it out with hot water.

Good luck which ever way you go, it's the little things that make life great.

Cheers, Jag

Thanks, Jag. I've been re-directed to the other thread for info. I had hoped your answer was that you didn't have to switch to the 510 stuff, but it is what it is.

BCB,
Not sure you "have to", but I chose to. I had read the 510 stuff gives you better flavor but originally went with the 808 for convenience. I had to opportunity to try the 510 so I took it.

Cute baby in your picture. :)

Hey BCB
You'll need an atty or two ($8 ea.), and a drip tip ($1-19.99)...

You should be able to get a couple of 510 attys and a drip tip for all of $20 I'd guess...perhaps a few dollars for shipping.

Thanks, all. The problem is what kind of atty? There are the LR ones and cone ones and bridge ones (and this info is from NOT reading the threads, only the titles). I'm pretty sure the lady who helped me on the other thread said she used a LR atty.

That IS a cute baby, huh? My only grandchild, Isabella! I'm glad I won't accidentally burn her on the head with a lit cigarette like I did with my own kids. Burning hair really stinks!

Is it ridiculous to ask for a great supplier for the best atty and drip tip? Will that just open a can of worms?

I've heard only great things about IKenVape.

Here is a link for a low resistant atty for the 510 (what you'll need).

They sell them for $7.99 for 1-4 of them, and less if you order more then that (you probably only need 2 to start with. Mine last me a long time!)

You want drip tips??? Check out the options (and these are only SOME of the options, and only from ONE vendor!) below!

The really colorful, well made drip tips shown below can be found here from NHaler! I just picked up two of 'em, and really love them!

Make sure to order the drip tips for the 510 attys.

By the way, search NHaler's site, and they also have some for a little less, if money is an issue (the nice design one's are $6, the less expensive ones are only $5!)

Good luck!

You are correct, I use a LR510 atty. I know some are using LR306's too, but for me its a bit short and hot. I'm getting great longevity and fire from the LR510's. Mine are from PureSmoker, but I hear that Rob has EM brand and they come very highly recommended. He's charging $5.00 a piece for them. We paid $5.00 a piece for the PS LR510s but we bought 25 to get that price.

which is the best bottom fed and why?

For me, the best is the REO mini.
#1 it is small enough to fit comfortably in my grip.
#2 the construction is solid aluminum (milled).
#3 there are no wires....the power is direct.
#4 it does not leak, except in my case of user error.
#5 it vapes like a steam train.
#6 this is as simple as it gets; battery, 3ml bottle of juice, atomizer of your choice, and a drip tip...and that means a lot to me....BECAUSE I'M LAZY.
#7 this was the one that kept me away from analogs.
There are other models (Wood REO, and REO Grand) that are bigger and work equally as well, perhaps even better because they hold more juice (6ml) and use a bigger battery.
You are welcome to browse my albums to take a look.

The Ali'i. (I have owned The Wood Reo and the Feedimus as well).
1) The feed system works better than others I have used.
2) It holds 6ml (3ml just doesn't cut it for me).
3) The 18650 battery lasts all day.
4) It's solidly built.
5) It's beautiful.
6) It fits in your hand perfectly.
7) It has never leaked a drop!
8) Simple to add juice to the bottle.
9) It's available in VV.
10) I ran out of ideas but wanted to have 10 reasons! :p

Pete...an idea for number 10: The button...the best of them all due to reliability(it fires everytime) and tactile feel(nice pop).

or

kill switch?....overall design and ergonomics of the Ali'i are hard to beat...it was made for the hand.

Hmmm...this is a tough question...I have the Reo Mini, The Ali'i, The Journeyman, and the Phidias Feedimus Woodimus.

I love em all...but if I was secluded on an island and I could only bring one?....

Drum roll......................
The suspense is killing me………………..
I am new to pv’s and went with an eGo. I really like it but I am tired of constantly adding juice to the cart or dripping into the atty. I figured I need one of these mods. They are expensive but I figure if I stay away from analogs it’s well worth the cost. Thanks for the insight all.

It would be the Supper Mod :) I think it time some will do it.

Actually, if there was a mod made from aluminum (like the Reo) with the feed system and capacity of the Ali'i and had regulated, selectable voltage and USB charging like the Fistpack, it would be tough to beat!!!!
We could call it the Re-ali-pack.

I love it!!!....but then what would we do with all the time saved from not having to search for the "holy grail" of mods and discussing each of their finer points along the way? Start all over searching for the truly self feeding juice mod?
