LOL I have a shelf of Grails my self. Standing by for the next one :) but I think I am close these Bottome Fed juice mods are doing it for me right now.

Thay will be hard to beat.

Trust me, we'll NEVER find the Holy Grail of mods! I think I've found seven of them only to find something better a month later!!!!

Hey, add a solar panel to the Ali'i, make the atty's so that by pressing on them, they retract into the wood mod, and a simple press pops them back up, a self feeding system that senses when the atty is dry.... and I think we're about done!

Perhaps the option to hold three different bottles, with different juices, all controlled by the turn of a dial... but let's not go nuts here....

Where do I provide my credit card info?

All this kind of makes me wonder what we'll be vaping on a year from now. Last year at this time I think I just got a BB and was dealing with CR2 batteries! It's interesting that, other than resistance, atomizers haven't really evolved much.

True...my atty's life has exceeded all of my expectations....the 510s anyway...can't speak to any others as I'm a 510 guy.

Dude, I wanna Iphone type pv...think about it....listen, surf, vape, bank, talk, you name it! HEHE only kiddin' apple's probably got one in the works, already.....lol.

And that is the whole point that Doc is trying to make.
If there was no PV that looked like a cigarette, would you have started vaping?

Honestly, while I am 100% pro-mod, I probably would not have been as eager to switch from analogs for a PV that didn't look like a cigarette. I needed the facsimile. But it's only been a year since I first tried vaping, and it's only been two months that I've been able to go 100% analog-free. And I owe that to the mod.

The e-cig that looked like an a-cig was way too much hassle and way too unreliable to be a suitable replacement. I frequently found myself getting frustrated to the point of running out for a pack of smokes. I gave up on vaping altogether this past summer. It was my discovery of the juice fed box mods that got be back into it, and within a week of quitting, I had a Wetbox to tied me over until I could get an Ali'i.

The need to stick with the familiar is pretty powerful, but when all is said and done, convenience, for me, wins out over appearance every time.

OK
I may have to buy one of these to simply get my name off this thread... LOL.

I am glad I contributed to the discussion though as there are many people that NEED a mod to quit analogs. It is like for me, the 4081 is not nearly enough, the eGO should be enough. Whether it is or not, I am not certain yet.

Everyone has a different threshold for the strength they need...

You said it, ACM. Took me 6 months of vaping other things before I found my mod, and I have been analog free since, just over two months. I was close with the ego....but sadly, not close enough.

And I think if those who want to switch to vaping knew all those facts up front, then they could save a lot of time, frustration, and money and go with a juice box mod from the get-go. I would have, had I even known there was an alternative to an "e-cig".

When I first came across e-cigs online, just because they looked like the real thing I mistakenly assumed the experience of using one would be very similar to smoking; only to find out there's not much similarity at all. It doesn't feel anything like a real cig, you don't hold it or puff it like a real cig, and it's a whole lot more to futz with.... constantly recharging, filling carts, cleaning attys, etc., etc. vs. lighting and smoking.

Really wish I knew all that from the start. Would have saved me a couple hundred dollars by going straight to a mod, then I could afford a second Ali'i! :thumb:

This was exactly my thought process when I was choosing which PV to go with. New to vaping, new to the forums...and there is SO much stuff out there it's rediculous.

Got a friend that went with an a-la-carte 510 based kit using cartos and saw first hand that I didn't want to deal with stuff like extra batts, extra cartos, pcc's, ice cubes and doc's....etc etc etc.

Bottom line is - I'm lazy. And like the other poster above, convenience was paramount. I wanted something I could grab, go, vape, and not have to deal with anything else.

After doing a lot of research, I decided on the Reo Grand and was lucky enough to order on the first batch. Looks like a top notch product thats manufactured with the utmost attention to detail.

Where I may differ from many on here is that I'm not planning on vaping to help move away from analogs. I enjoy smoking and look forward to enjoying vaping as well.

Nice...Congrats on scoring the REO Grand....I was not so fortunate and got busy at the time of the sale....needless to say they sold very quickly.

I have a Wetbox. It is cheaply made. Search the reviews threads and you'll find lots of info about them. I like it for what it is, which is a cheap bottom feeder to hold me over while I wait for my Ali'i, and I've been lucky with it so far. I think it's worth having as a back up, too. I wrote a review about a month ago (look for "The Wetbox - One Week In"). A lot of the issues with it are addressed in that thread.

Yea, I'm definitely looking forward to it. I got the black w/gold door after seeing someone post a mini with that same combo.

Unfortunately I'm still stuck to posting in this forum but as soon as I'm "freed" I'll pop over to the REO Grand thread. I've got some questions that hopefully ppl can help with :)

I think Rob has another batch ready for sale soon, no? I guess they sold out in like 20 mins or something crazy like that. I dunno, I tried to log on to his site and it kept crashing. After spamming F5 for a solid 5 mins I was able to get through.

I haven't gotten a shipping notice yet however but I'm sure Rob is pretty slammed. Hopefully he will get mine out this week...
