Hi Ed,

The switch is what is commonly referred to as a "snap" action switch. The whole switch assembly slides out, so you can replace the switch yourself should it fail. I will have spare switches too they are only a few dollars. There is still a pre-order and they will be engraved with a serial number (hand engraved by me on the interior so its not visible). I would get one of these as well as a PrecisePlus. The Shockwave is the most in depth mod i've made (from a machining standpoint) and after my conversation with the machine shop (see following post) it will most likely be a limited run of them.

Well David you are on my wife's list now cause I just ordered me a satin no slot Shockwave LOL, just messin with ya, she actually told me to order a couple of hours ago but just did.

I am sorry this will be short lived but ecstatic I was able to get one.

Thanks for the info and might have to pickup a few switches so when I'm 80 I can replace it :)

Can't wait and let the waiting begin...oh and I am still hoping you have some scratch and dent P+ 18650's cause if so I'll get one of those too...as well as the Precise Strata...I've got issues but my OCD just loves your products :)

Well I ordered slots dammit and I'm sticking to my guns! :p I figured if David thought it was a cool and different design, then WTH, it looks cool to me too. I don't plan on low crawling through desert sand with it, so I'mma be OK. Who knows, I may get a satin no slot down the road.

Siouxsie - your spot on with your comments. This is going to be a cool design!

Update as of 06/14/12:

So sadly, the Shockwave run will most likely be limited to only 400 units but on the bright side it will be a rare limited edition model. I originally designed it to be outrageous and threw caution to the wind when designing it and it looks like it's biting me in the .... a bit :)

Makes me want to order a second one? If Snork does I will........

I PM you David changing my order from no slot polished to no slot satin..... Order # 12312

Now I don't know if I should stick to the shiny non slotted version or the "origina". I'm a little confused though about the satin finish. David's picture of the SW doesn't look like the P+ finish (less grey, more silver)m now you got me confused. I just want one but now I'm questioning which. Maybe I should follow you (anybody who knows the Melvins must have good taste ) ;)

The picture (a fairly old picture) of the ShockWave at the beginning of this thread shows a prototype "shiny" version, though I doubt the device in that photo is anywhere near as finished and shiny as ours will be. The satin finish we haven't seen a picture of yet, but I assume it will be standard PrecisePlus grey.

Deary, the Shockwave pictured is a slotted, polished (not satin) version. The Satin Shockwave will be finished like the satin P+s. His polished is not mirror finish but higher polished than brushed finish, from what I understand.

Good morning!

Yes the satin will be of the PrecisePlus grade and the shiny will be of the old Precise grade at a minimum.

Thank you David for clearing that up. What would you call the finish your profile picture of the. 2010 (?) prototype? It seems like a "raw" polish; I quite like it.

Hello All and a good day to everyone again .
went ahead to order the shockwave on the super t website , but unfortunately India is not a country that is on the option of billing / shipping ....
If David sir would be kind enough to please add India to the shipping list i would be obliged .
wishing you well
