Here is my quick review of the kayfun Lite which is probably all old news.
I've vaped it quite a bit over the last couple weeks. It is an easy to use, easy to maintain atomizer which delivers an excellent vape in most aspects. I appreciate how easy and neat it is to partially disassemble and clean and maintain the coil. While vapor production and throat hit are fantastic, flavor seems strangely muted. I can't imagine why either, I see no reason for that.
Portability is great with one exception: It hates rapidly going from 45 degrees Fahrenheit to 90. Leaks like a sieve under that circumstance and unfortunately I do that quite a bit at work. Machining is excellent.
It's a keeper, and I'll bet it would be killer with unflavored VG since that's sort of what my juice tastes like in it anyway.

If your flavors seems muted in it, your setup isn't optimal. The coil needs to be as close to the air hole as possible, and personally I get the best flavor from a microcoil with cotton.

Nah, it's not a big deal. My wick is sitting wherever it lands, which is about as close to the hole as possible for me but I'll try your suggestion in the future. No plans to try other wicks. I'm not a flavor hound and my juice is subtle anyway. With so much other stuff going for it it surprised me that at least in my case flavor of all things was noticeably not the strong point.

Dual coils using ribbon wire...gives me nice TH and VP..flava is still there as well. At 6mg..slowly getting down to 3mg it hits that good for me, at least on my Lux...still waiting on the ELA!

Don't wanna go there either. My ideal tank atomizer works the way I want it to, not the other way around. Kayfun Lite is very close.

Heck yes smoother than the Simplicity! The Simplicity 14500's button is light for sure, but that beautifully round P+/ELA button is the smoothest.

I would love to caress my round , buttery smooth, P button on my ELA. However I am receipt number 162?? something or other. I dont even like to remind myself lol. I actually fear that I could DIE before my hands touch this mod. Im expecting next spring sometime.:glare:

I thought Id share this in case there are others using either an Odysseus or Ithaka with their ELA. The Odysseus, Term and most likely the Ithaka also, get their airflow thru the holes in near the 510 connection. It is a very moist vaporizer and air backflows out through the holes which means condensation build up on the 510 connection on the ELA. I can usually tell when performance goes down , if not from battery, that a little wipe of the juice perks up ELA again.

Hello have a question. Yesterday I set up my 2 atomizers like I usually do, popped on one ELA and noticed the vapor production was low, changed batteries and then it was still low but the normal firing sounds were different. I also noticed that the spring kept retracting, so figured I had a short.

TOok the atty off and put another one one. Same thing, but sound was even more odd and again the spring retracted, another short?

Took everything apart , cleaned , redid the atty, stronger hit, but shorts again.

Set up the atties again, making sure all was perfect, but again, shorts, with the spring retracting and battery getting all lose. This time I screwed on the 510 connection on not soo tight and no short.

Is this what you described as a "hard short" I thought that the pin had to be on tight, but I guess only to make contact and not loosen, but not super tight as not to get a short.

Just thought Id share this, in case anyone has this problem. Its vaping perfectly and strong, like always.

I'm looking at my Ody and my ELA trying to figure out what may be going on. If I look down into my ELA 510 connection at the rhodium pin going from the outside in, I see the threads, the insulator around the pin, and then a little exposed machined "step" on the rhodium pin before the pin projects upward. I doubt this makes any sense but maybe you'll see it. It could be that if your Ody center pin isn't projecting quite far enough, the 510 threads on your Ody may be coming in contact with this "step" - negative + positive = bad, particularly if your Ody 510 base is one of those that's slightly misshapen.

?

Edit: Probably not. The Rhodium pin appears much too long.

Even though my diagnosis is probably hooey, I'll make myself useful anyway. P, do try to be a little careful when you screw your Ody on for no other reason than the rough sharp edges of the slotted Ody pin are one of the few things I've found that can damage the rhodium plating over time. Not damage to the point of Oh My God, but scratchy un-pretty.

It doesn't apply to the Ithaka P, as it doesn't get air from the 510 connection

Sort of, the juice on the pin thing still applies, though. The air on Ithaka does first enter through the air control ring, but then passes down the inside of the 510 connector (down the outside of the center pin) before coming back up through the hole in the center pin into the atty chamber. I do still get a little juice in my connector to wipe up periodically

LOL, GG misshapen? blasphemy........ I have looked at the same things as you regarding the 510 pin on Ody. My mind has been spinning thinking about taking a dremel spongy thing and buffing the edges smooth, but Im kinda scared. The GG pieces are well made, but not as precise and beautifully finished as Super-T and new pieces made lately show some slacking in precision and finishing, rough, burred etc, but thats just me, cause Im a trouble maker and CRAZY.

Shhhh, don't tell anybody but I found a cosmetic flaw on my ELA when I first got it. Makes it a rare collectible. ;)
