Yeah, if it's within the period they should cover both. Really, if I had known this sooner (the thing crapped out on me before the new year), this wouldn't have been an issue. Hindsight is always 20/20, though, and I had already written this off in my head as a loss.

I'm counting on China to be pumping out interesting DNA20 clone devices throughout the year, so chances are I'll be buying a new device anyway.

Edit: Just saw fasttech is selling the sigelei 20W for $83.77. Christmas done came early!

Man. I'm hoping they try pumping out dna 30 clones.

I would drop some money on that.

All but guaranteed. Ain't nothin' out there that China won't try to copy as long as it can be sold for profit. For me personally, I don't even need a 20W device, but I like shiny new stuff.

The new bells and whistles are always fun but I rarely go over 8 watts. It is interesting to see APVs approaching sub ohming. Not that interested in clouds either.

From FT? They want me to pay for shipping both ways because I'm past the 6-month warranty period. They have record of delivery in December, but obviously they're counting from when they shipped the thing out which is technically when the warranty begins, but let's see how dedicated they are to customer service.

Yes, from FT. If memory serves, my SVD was working PERFECTLY for about a month and a half when it crapped out on me. I'm hoping its replacement holds up better.

I can't wait to see some in-depth reviews on that one - hopefully by PBusardo, I geek out on his charts. :)

Yup it seems there is a definite SVD problem. Here is a review.

Hello. Please try to excuse my ignorance. :)

I found an Innokin iTaste SVD starter kit on fasttech for $60 shipped. It looks like something I would use and use and use... okay.

My question is, being variable wattage and voltage, first, does it read the resistance of the tank you're using, and second, does it offer a 'starting point'?

Since I am new I really would have NO IDEA at what setting I should start.

Thank you so much. I just well, can't grab a provari for $200+ (I have rad that it will do this.)

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this.

yes the SVD has a Menu function to read the Device Coil Resistance, it's quite simple to access.

this power chart would be a good starting point, the resistance is on the far left, Volts on top, wattage in the center (body of the chart)..the idea is to keep your settings in the Green area.....
here is the Power Chart,

click on the link in the post rite above yours for the video review of the SVD

Thank you so much. So I should expect their chart to be in the box with the new device?

Like I said, I am completely new to this scene, but I really want something that works good with whatever I decide to put on top of it. Of course, on my own I would have NO IDEA where to set it.

Thank you so much sando7.

you will catch on real quick......there is no chart with the SVD....it depends on the coil your using to get a starting point, say if your using a 2 ohm coil i would start out at about 6 watts and work up from there..if it starts to taste burnt you back it off a bit to where it tastes good to you....diff juices have different sweet spots it's up to you to dial them in on the settings.....

make sure to watch that video in the link on post #225

I will sando7, thank you.

Actually I started watching the video, but it is about 49 minutes long, I think, so I'm gonna finish it when I hit the hay in just a few minutes. I'd say I'll watch it a couple of times anyway.

thanks so much for your help. I will let you know how it goes with this impending adventure.

Which "problem" are you referring to? Not having watched the vid all the way through this time (watched it a few months ago before purchasing my svd) the first thing I notice Is he has an early model (white fire button).

Mine were not pre production the white model. The first unit would turn off by itself after one day. Then it would not come out of the lock mode. Last the firing became erratic not always doing so. The replacement for that one lasted a week when it also developed the unable to come out of lock situation and turning itself off. I am now on my third one which I have had for a couple of weeks now with no problems. I am keeping my fingers crossed! The thing I noticed on each one including this current one is the strange switch travel. Upon depressing you reach the fire point. After that fire point is reached if additional pressure is continued it will travel further into the unit with a spongy feeling until a stop point is reached instead of a firm stop. I checked my Cool Fire I which appears to have the same switch and it hits a hard stop when you reach the firing point. I have a feeling the board is moving when that pressure passes the fire point. This could be the problem by flexing the board sooner or later shorting it out. I now use only a light pressure stopping when the unit fires applying no additional pressure. So far so good.

I got my SVD from a local b&m store about 30 miles from the house. I've had it since the end of the first week in Feb, using as my only device daily. I have one of the devices w/ the smoked black button. At first, the button was easy to push, and the lightest of touches fired the device and locked/unlocked with ease. I find that recently (past few days) the unlock/ lock sequence is not always taking on the first try, and it's taking more effort to fire the device. I'm having to put more pressure on the button or it'll cut out mid drag. My button is still audibly clicking , however, so idk. Being the only device I use on a daily basis I'd expect it to wear down a little faster than others who may use multiple devices, but it's not been two months yet.

When I decided to graduate from the Halo Triton to this, I knew out of the gate that almost $200 for a provari was a bit out of reach. Based on reviews I read I picked this device. So far, I'm happy with my choice. Keeping my fingers crossed that the button holds up.

I think Innokin has some sort of problem with the SVD. Not sure if it is production or design. They better fix this. No such issues of this magnitude with other Innokin devices.

Mine still does the occasional switch off mid session. fingers crossed it doesn't get worse as time goes on but with vape mail on the way so I'll have my a** covered just in case. Switch hasn't gotten any different over time tho, still has the same sharp click followed by a hard stop. Mail will be in on Thursday, I'll post a pick of all my new goodies and no doubt need some advice! I can see this becoming an addiction within an addiction lol... Oh and luckily my wife is taking it all in stride. :headbang:

A real pain. I think Innokin rushed this one into production.

Nice... I have a nice long list of vape mail that will be coming in over the next month. Some from FT, some from us vendors.

Short list:
Nemesis clone, magnetic switch, ohms meter, kayfun 3.1 clone, cheap temporary Kick, ego c twist for my gf all from FT

Pin vise, 30 gauge kanthal, precision screwdriver kits, PT2, 30 amp 18650 batteries all from US vendors.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but it'll be a nice few weeks!
