Bad news. Got my SVD yesterday, along with a whole pile of other stuff. Put a batt on charge, put a batt in the SVD. Fiddled with the settings, then threw my PT2 (1.8 Micro w/ cotton) and the new aero base I got onto the SVD.
Worked great.
The options were a little awkward at first- by that I mean; getting it to unlock, or lock, and show ohms- took a few tries. I chalked it up to user error.
It vaped well.. more or less the same as my twist. Then today I turned it off, because it was in my back pocket, and I was working. Tried to have a vape break, took me 3 or 4 tries to get it to turn on.. the lights came on, but it wouldn't fire.. later today, it started vibrating... it's progressively got worse, and I'm currently back to my twist :(

Been there done that three times. When is Innokin going to correct these problems?

wow another sad story i hate to hear it, my SVD has been sitting in the cradle for the most part just pulling it out once or twice a day and every time i hit the fire button i'm wondering if it's gonna be the last time....my SID has been getting a work-out lately and i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on an I-Taste 134 Mini or the new Lava Tube 2.5.....choices, choices...what's a Vaping Lad to do :vapor:

Hey nice to have choices :) I'll be using my new one sparingly to now. When and if it starts acting up I will probably swing for a provari. Hard to justify the price for the little bit of kit that it is, but you get what you pay for in terms of dependability from the sound of it.
When is Japan gonna jump in and start marketing these ~

I have been using this last replacement non stop for close to a month now with no problems. I am very careful with the firing button only pushing to the click/fire and no further. So far so good. I will put it away soon. Just too much care for daily use.

I've been using my SVD with Kanger and Iclear 30 tanks and so far I've had no problems. It doesn't leave my home office so that might be why it's holding up so far. It gets a good amount of use on the weekends and evenings. The 510 threading isn't the best when I slap an Iclear on it, I have a little wobble until it's seated down tight.

I run 1.8 or 2.2 coils on my tanks so the watts pretty much hold at 6 and I adjust the volts. Overall I like the unit but only time will tell.

I have a twist and an ego as a backup :)

I've been reading a ton since I started and it seems like most (except Provari) have some type of issues.

As of lately, my fire button issues seem to wax and wane. I'll have issues for a few days, them for a few all is fine... Turns on and off w/ my first set of clicks, fires without ungodly pressure on the button. Never been dropped. It's been GREAT the last few days, now again it's starting to have issues again. Truly a love/hate relationship. Someone mentioned the itaste 134 mini as an alternative/replacement. Idk about you, but I'll be damned if I'm going to give innokin another dime of my money after seeing the issues with this device. If I'm going to spend $150 dollars on one of their products. I'd rather chip on another $50 and get a provari with a warranty.

no Provari for me, if it doesn't have VW i don't even want to look at it...found the 134 Mini kit w/the XI Tank & 2 tubes 18350 & 18500 for 109.00 + extra for the Batts (12 bucks for 2) at a couple of places w/2month warranty...been looking at reviews online and so far no complaints on the 134, but i hear what your saying.....

i have also checked out the Lava Tube 2.5 and adding a Nautilus with a 5 pack of heads/18650 batt for about the same exact price...the only thing i do not like about the L.T. 2.5 is it's 28mm in diameter...but it does come w/1yr warranty.
decisions are frustrating to say the least.

my SVD is still kicking at the moment and i still love it, maybe i'll get lucky yet i'm not to optimistic about it, time will tell.

I had the same "no VW" concerns when I kicked my SVD to the curb and bought a Provari. But having used it for 3 months now, I'm glad to have made the switch. The Provari is rock solid, and the reality is, voltage or wattage, I change it on a tank by tank basis anyway (be it for different resistances or different juices). Just like voltage, there's no one magic wattage that I like to vape at. It all depends on the situation.

I love my SVD, but I'm occasionally running into an issue where I do have to press the power button slightly harder than I did at the beginning. Trying to avoid that moving forward.

If it does hit the fan too soon, I'll likely avoid buying anything new for a bit.

Last I checked, the SVD doesn't have an OLED screen, offer any paint options, or have deviated from the original design update. So not exactly sure what your point is. To each their own, and I get that. Just offering my viewpoint on the wattage issue, as I stated I originally shared the same concerns, but realized it didn't really matter in the end.

You are right the SVD is not manna from heaven either. My point is your point everything for everyone. Very tired of Provari worship being the stick that all else is measured against. It is far from a perfect stick.

Totally agree with you there. I'm no Provari fanboy. It's definitely no holy grail mod, but it is one of the very few that I've been able to consistently rely on without any hiccups. Hoping to add the Dicodes Dani to that list when USPS gets around to delivering it to me :) In fact, I'd go as far to say that no single mod out on the market today is even close to perfect. The best rule will always be to stick with what works for your setup.

Since I was one of the few folks having fire button issues with the SVD, I unfortunately had to move on (which is regrettable, because the SVD features and price point are excellent).
