i put my SVD back in the Box a week or 2 ago while it still works...i too like it....now the MVP as you prob already know is a work-horse but it do have 510 center-pin probs if you put yur toppers on to tight or use a topper w/long pin like a KF.......would highly suggest to get you an airflow control adapter for it to use as a new base....and come on over to the MVP owners thread...some great folks w/good info to share....hope to see ya there :vapor:

Yeah I've heard about the 510 connection problems, so I will most likely be getting some sort of adapter to try and prevent that. Of course I don't think I will be using any tanks with long pins, because as of right now all I own are four Protank 2's.

Oh and as for the MVP owners thread, I check that thread almost daily, and I can't wait until I get an MVP so I can contribute a little :)

I'll need to write that vendor down and keep tabs.

There needs to be an SVD that can be totally dependable; I'm on my second one. The ohm checker and (un)loc feature need extra babying.

BTW - MVP2 is my backup, which I'm using right now. I hope Innokin keeps the same standard with the MVP2 as I hoped it would have with the SVD.

I snagged a genuine itaste SVD off Ebay for $36 shipped. Arrived today, and so far, I am VERY happy! Found that I like 12w vaping, and I can change tanks and cartos all I want, and they hit very similar regardless of resistance.

I wish I had gotten one sooner. Took my backup ecig dying to get me to pull the triffer on a new device. the Variable wattage is nice!

I've had my MVP2 since the end of October last year, it's still going strong. I wish they'd built the SVD to THOSE standards, lol.

Did you happen to buy your SVD from somebody in Michigan? I just sold one on eBay and I wonder if you're the one that bought it. :)

Good thing :) IIRC, the low Ω cutoff on the SVD is around 1.2.

Don't forget to zero your leads if using an ohm meter that has one, i.e. a DMM. If the meter doesn't have a "zero" function, while on the lowest ohm range, press the tips of the probes together and note the reading. That's the lead resistance, and you need to subtract that from the coil reading.

I just got the svd with 2x Efest Purple IMR 18650 20A 3100mAh and 2xEFEST IMR 18350. In the future I would probably get some more 18650 batteries, what is recommended. I have looked at the Sony US18650VTC5.

Unless you're planning on using the batteries for a future mech mod and lower ohm vaping you don't need to buy batteries with high amp ratings. Regular red Efest will do along with other similar types. I bought a couple of Panasonic IMR's with 10amp ratings and they also work great. Just make sure and get high drain IMR batteries.
These are the one's I personally have used and can vouch for in my SVD along with other APV's and mech's.

    1) Panasonic IMR18650PF
    2) Sony VTC4 and VTC5
    3) Efest Purple 18650 3100mah
    4) Efest 18350 800mah (stacked in SVD)

Yes, it's safe to stack 2 18350's in the SVD. Just buy good quality batteries from reputable american sellers. 2 places I go for batteries all of the time and are both excellent and have great prices
