What's the difference between a Silo carto vs the Smoktech DualCoils?!

The Silo is a single horizontal coil, while most of the dual coil are vertical. Horizontal coil cartos have the coil positioned under the filler & wick down to it. Dual coil have the coils in the center tube...meaning they need to be kept fairly full to keep the upper coil wet.

IMO, the Silo carto is very similar to an atomizer in the way it vapes, except for the filler makes it so it doesn't have to be fed as often. It's also more forgiving when overfed. It absorbs the excess juice.

So, would that be more like a Kanger horizontal coil then?! Wondering if those would be better to have on my Reo Grand and the VMod XL. I usually use the Dual Coils or the Resurrectors on my other mods, but wondering if the horizontal coil cartos would be better for the bottom feeders!?

The Silo cartos are made in the same factory as the Bloog & Volt cartos. The Kangers are a reverse engineered version of the same technology. IMO, the bottom coil cartos last longer. The draw doesn't clog up like the vertical coil cartos.

Cool! I'll grab a few bottom coils to see how they work out. I'm pretty sure that I've tested a Kanger before this, and it tasted burnt on the second day, so out it went. Thanks for the info. AG!

Still rockin' the 3 ohm atty & 6V. Definitely has been working the best for me. Good flavor, good throat hit.

I put my CR123's on last night with the stock 2.2 ohm carto...lol, I thought I fried it the first hit. Was able to get it wet enough to not burn, but I can say that carto did not like the abuse. I'm getting some of those 4.8V NIMH batts and still working out a list for various atties and cartos to try, but honestly, this thing hasn't left my hand since I got it.

Hello from France.
I received my Vmod XL. I have a problem with the Vapage ato. I am forced to pull the plug central atoms to make contact. And the screw connector Vmod seems hard.
Have you encountered this problem with ato vapage or another ato or carto ?
Is there another trick to act directly on the connector Vmod?
Apart from this worry, it works great.
Thank you for your answers.

The threads can be a bit stiff on a few of them from what I'm hearing. Try polishing the threads of the Vmod with some steel wool & see if it makes the atomizer easier to screw in all the way. Once the threads break in the problem is resolving itself.

Thanks AlmightyGod .
I seem to have solved the problem. I screwed a clearomiser CE2 and unscrewing it, I pulled an O-ring that fits over the cylinder on which is screwed the cone and prevents leakage. And now I have a correct contact!

The atomic vapage has an O-ring. What is it? Is it necessary?
