Yes I did. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to, but they seemed to have some sort of fluid on them.
Joye atty's come with a primer in them. Best thing to do(on a 306) is blow them out first, add 6 drops, give a couple quick pulls(without firing) and add two more drops and vape. then top off as necessary:vapor:

Very impressive those long blue Vapage 18650s. First battery to ever last me 24+ hours. Maybe its because it takes so many tries to get it to fire with the XL button ;-) but seriously, it starts out without that initial first overvoltage and stays level for a LONG time. Won't connect in some chargers and too long to fit a spacer. But what a performer!

Hey all... Been rocking the XL since new years and this thing kicks ..... I only issue I have had so far is it seems to have a low tolerance for how far you screw in the inner collar. If I tighten it down to far there is not enough thread exposed and the cone will pop off. Also on occasion the inner collar will stay in the cone when I unscrew it. I wouldn't really call these issues just something that has happened BTW.

Also AG you have said that you found sealed center pin atties fed in the XL. I found one that does not seem to work. Smart Vapes dripping atties I get no draw off of. I can almost suck juice up through it like a straw in a soda but no air flow. Thought I would mention in case you are keeping tracked of what does and does not work... Yes I did try losening it a bit... Tried both a 306 and a 510.. 306 could not get to fire with no draw and the 510 fired and no draw as well...

what we're getting with all the attention is a myriad of different experiences and attys/carto's.

i take it closed bottom attys do not work ... and some attys like the 901 are a questionable fit.

The collar/cone deal, part of the enclosed feed system, is what makes this bottom feeder stand out imo.
It's new, it provides freedom from leaks, and gives a nice draw. I like a little bit of draw, like closer to an analog experience, and you can feel the vapor going into your mouth.
I have been doing only VV for the last year and this is the first mechanical 3.7 pv I've gotten, and kept, recently.
My norm for VV has been an SR atty or carto (in tank) at 3.6 to 4.2v.

The XL w/ 18650 batt will do SR pretty well, but imo it is best with LR.
This is the only pv that I use 1.5 LR, and it ensures a sure-fire vape but you need to keep the atty wet or it will be too harsh.
The trick is not overfeeding, or it will not be a great vape either.

I suggest taking the cone and collar and atty off, and test drip.... see how much juice comes out per squeeze.

Bottom feeding is easier than dripping only because you don't have to use the bottle separate from the pv, but for one thing, the juice doesn't feed from the top like dripping, and it's hard to know exactly how much juice goes into the atty.
In order to get the most out of it you should know dripping 101.... not too much, not too little, and of course which resistance (Ohms) atty to use.

My suggestion for newbs is once you find what works for you, stick with it.

I've found that the i06 LR 1.5 works for me, and I haven't changed since i got it.

You are right Fernand, these things rock. My experience with them mirrors yours exactly (almost completely flat for over 24 hours). I do have some thin spacers that work with them though, they are a little bigger around but half the thickness. I wish I could remember where I got them, but hopefully it will help to know they are out there! Fires the first time, every time!

Here for some really thin spacers....6mm Battery Spacers

I used one of these to try a flat top imr I got from electronicstixs in the XL.....

You dont want to over tighten the colar... just slightly snug. You really only need to make contact. Otherwise you'll warp the gasket (o-ring) or bend the colar, causing future leaks. Also the holes on the colar need to line up with the air in slit, over tightening will cause this to not line up properly. :2c:
