I was flooding them for sure.

I am starting to (finally) get a consistent satisfying vape after about 4 days of trial and error, but I still feel like I have to pull lighter and longer than on my 510/BogeLR to get a comparable hit.

Also... I feel like I have got the right feel for how much juice needs to be in the atty now, but when I take a vape and have the PV tilted more than 90 degrees flat (in bed, for example) I always end up with juice in my mouth. Is this me flooding the atty still, another issue, or is this to be expected?

It sounds like you are still giving it too much juice. I am slowly getting my father to go lightly as he wants to give it a big squueze everytime, not needed lol......back off on how much you are giving it. I could lay on the couch and vape away and not get juice in my mouth. It does take some practice to get used to how much to squuze.

ok, I'll keep playing with it.

About how long should I be getting out my batts using a 1.5ohm atty would you expect? I have AW IMR 18650 1600mah batts? I can't tell when I notice a decline in performance if it is the battery running out of juice, or if it is the battery getting back to "normal" after coming after the charger.

Don't worry about AW IMR's. they are made for LR's. THey have the consistent output that LR demands over longer time in the cycle moreso than the Li ions. A meter would help you check what you are perceiving and what the real voltage left in the batt is, as you start to get the feel of it.

Dripping takes quite a while to get down pat... but the only way is to keep at it... I suggest to switch off from time to time (attys to cartos) and each time you go back your batting percentage with dripping gets better.

Fernand: Perfection is a moving train. It's a conspiracy. I can't make juice fast enough either. Went through another whole 10 ml today on the XL, and that's not counting the courtesy hits on the other guys.

Wonderful, Fernand.

Recently, I've caught myself looking at my VV mods, standing at the ready, on my nightstand. I've though to myself, "I should grab that and use it a bit. Wait! I already have my Vmod XL in my hand, tho." My poor VV mods hate the Vmod XL. This thing has been everywhere with me all day everyday. My fiancee told me, the other day, "Maybe you should buy a back-up one of those. I saw desperation and fear in your eyes when you thought you left it at the bar the other night." -Approval/w1n!! :toast:

Oh Dougiestyle! I DID leave my PV in a bar a couple of weeks ago. Now I know complete and utter fear and shock! (Did get it back.)

Thanks! Here's what my friend had to say about it:

Frank: AHHHHHHHHHHH
first of feb?!?!?!?!
is this some kind of JOKE!?

Isn't that like a week or 7 days away?

Tea, new camera? :D Great pic. I had to replace the inner O ring and mine is seated incorrectly according to your pic. Yours in the the Orchestra, and mine is in the Mezzanine. Will get to "modding" that perhaps tomorrow.

Unused XL right out of the box?? OH? WOW!

A tilted VMod will give you juice in the mouth:ohmy: On mine, that's the way I would feed, just tilt and puff then lower and continue to puff. Never squished, squirshed, squeezed, or any other word that begins with the letter "s", just tilt and vape!! So tilted to long will flood the atty8-o

Squashed. Squoze.

Squuze. Yep, like that one. :)

Newest info from vapage:

The VMOD XLs are currently in final stages of production and back orders should ship by the end of the week.

We plan to get out all the back orders in one day once we have them in hand!

Finally some good news !!!

you are from poland smilee? i'm from germany and I bought my XL in spain from easyVAP.
he had only a few in stock in january :/

my *rat pack* ;o)

Is there anything special that has to be done to a 306 to get it to feed properly on the XL? I have zero experience with 306's and bought a couple of Cisco 1.5's to broaden my horizons (and hoping they'll take some ultra-yummy but hard on hardware liquids) but they don't seem to feed the same as the 510's I've been using.

The 306 lasts the longest of just about any atty. The Vapage Hybrids last a long time too...at least mine do.

The lower o-ring seals off the connection to keep the juice in the bottom. I wish someone who has one that popped out would match it up to a size from the hardware store. I've done that with other mods...

If mine comes loose, I'll do it, but I'm not going to pull it out in purpose.

Hoping this helps.

Thank you for this pics.

I had two O-ring. I put the larger as in the pics. And the smallest O-ring, I put it around the base of the chimney stainless steel.

Do you think it is ok?

I've noticed some are using this without knowing how to drip very well... this is just a thought that i have lately regarding newbies who are thinking about getting an XL or for us who would recommend them to newbies.
IMO long time carto vapers shouldn't have too much trouble, but newbies who haven't learned the physics of dripping; Resistance (Ohm) to Voltage of a coil to a batt, and more importantly how juice reacts, how much juice, vg/pg etc take heed: this is one of the easiest Bottom Feeders out there, but you can't get away from the learning curve.
Not to discourage anyone, but there is a bit of voodoo; with bottom feeding it's like you have to be a little psychic when it comes to knowing how much juice is in the atty, not to mention how the atty or carto/voltage works with a particular juice.
i say this so that folks don't get discouraged ... keep on vaping

:p

about 10 nic comas, 5 face-splashes of juice, and 9 mouthfulls of juice later I think I am finally starting to get the hang of this thing though :vapor:

It seems like when I have the balance right, I get almost a little humming/vibrating thing going on while I am pulling. Does anyone else experience this phenomenon, or am I still feeding too much juice
