Hey! Just got my XL back after at least a month .... surprise.
It's a new one.
Almost forgot how to sqonk this baby.... put a new 1.5 Aero from Avid on and wow, you gotta keep this one wet.
It has 2 holes in the connector so it seems to be ok, just not getting enough juice in the coil yet.... but dripping is helping for now. I'll get it.
thanks for all the insight Fernand!

Yo, Uke, I was going to order a couple Aeros, and the Avid site being down keeps saving me from spending money. I only got 2 .357s, and one was a permanent spitter/poor feeder so he went back. The second one is absolutely incredible as long as I 1) prime with a squirsh then 2) keep the XL nose a bit down so it feeds continuously, and I've been using it about 18x7 for 6 weeks!? If I interrupt the flow, I can get dry burns and spitting. Have you tried this continuous feed technique with the Aero? How would you say they compare to the .357?

the Aero is 1.5 LR only as far as i know, metered exactly... it has a nice TH not too harsh, and good vapor if you top off just right. Still figuring out the feeding, as I was using a i06 before and that is one easy atty to feed. As for flavor, it's new so it's good... I put my HH357's down for a day and focused on the Aero and a i06 on another mod... before finishing up last night i took a puff of the HH 1.5 on an ego and the difference in flavor is there... so the Aero, although it looks like the HH coil, is not the same excellence of flavor.
Is it worth it ($12)? Not sure yet.... it's nice, but i'll have to retry some of the conventional attys to be sure.
I find myself vaping it hard and it gets hot on the lips (pyrex d/t). I have to take a nice vape and put it down for a minute to cool off.

Help! I ordered a V Mod XL today with 4 extra shells only to realize after it shipped that the shells are only for the 1st one they made. I am a little torqued because they didn't catch the fact that I ordered the XL with shells that won't fit it. Is vapage going to take care of me or am I just out the money I spent?

@ukeman, though it might be interesting for others too.

Because it was starting to get caked under, I decided to risk the biggie and dry burn the HH.357 instead of soaking it in alcohol overnight. So I ran hot tap water over it hard, then poured 96% ethanol (PGA) through, then dry burned it on a Provari. HH said that he himself dry burns them, but that most people don't know how and ruin them that way. The Provari wouldn't let me overdo it (E2 error after 2 seconds) but to finish the job I put it in AO mode where it powers the atty regardless (to measure resistance), and that got me the full orange glow. I didn't push it beyond a few seconds of that, I was afraid of popping it. The result is divine, it's practically like new. After 6 1/2 weeks of 18x7 chain vaping. The photo is revealing. Look at that lovely tight coil! It vapes like a BIGGER train again.

Re; hh357's:
By the Way, I am confused about the wording about blowing them out on the site; so do you NOT blow through the connector side or DO you? I swear I'm dyslexic ...

My Aero 1.5 is vaping much better today (second day).... it is definitely better than a $5 or $9 atomizer imo. Vapor is as good. Flavor is better than...
It works well on the XL, although it seems to balk at being fed... when i squeeze, i get a lot of air coming through the atomizer which seems weird; it does get some juice in there, and that's the main thing. These work best with a full coil of juice. I can hit it hard like 3 vapes before it gets too hot, and then i put it down and when taking it up I give it a little more juice to top off.

He says to ONLY blow in the same direction the air flows normally, so, yes, you blow into the connector side, never the other way.

"put it down" ??

Maybe you are already doing this, but I figured it can't help to mention that when you squeeze the bottle you need to make sure the device is tilted (atomizer) down at least enough that whatever bubble is in the bottle is away from the feed hole.

Wow! It looks like it's gonna be ok. I just got a message that they will take care of it. Thanks Vapage :) Making a huge mistake on an order the 1st time you use a company can be terrifying. I have been reading the bad vendor reviews and compiling a list of DON'T buy from vendors and it should have dawned on me that so far I didn't see any bad ones for Vapage. Huge sigh of relief:rickroll:

So When I get My V mod XL What should I try 1st? The atty or the carto. Remember I'm still a newb. They are going to make a killing off me on the different colored shells! I had saved up to buy a Rio and was waiting to order a purple one when I found out I could just buy extra shells for the XL and spent the whole wad. I still need 4 more for a total of 9 and I will be done LOL Wait... then maybe more XLs to dress up. Accessories are a girls best friend and as far as I am concerned mods are no different.

Welcome Dana!

As to what to use --- I always recommend starting with something that is close to what you have been using --- which is most likely a carto. I happen to like the silo's that come with the kit, but use other brands, as well.

I guess I change carto's and atty's like you'll be changing "clothes" on your Vmod. :)

I bought mine to stop having to drip "old school" at work so went with atty's.

Have tried cardo's but the longest I have lasted is a day before going back to that just dripped taste. Apart from that I use a ProVari with a tank to cover the cardo option.

I am I think 3 weeks maybe a month into having mine and it is a constant companion. Seriously thinking about buying another in case the worse should happen.

I think I better go with the cartos at 1st then because that's what I use now. Am iI wrong in thinking that the silo cartos are shorter than a normal carto? Is there any other cartos that are shortened to this size if so? I think it would look funny with a carto sticking up above the cone and a drip tip on top.
