Now...has anyone come up with a lanyard for the vmod 2?

So funny, that has been my scout out for a few weeks now. I took mine over to a fabricator who can "do anything", the problem is that if you inspect there is not much room anywhere near top where if you pierce the metal there is any room between skin and the plastic body part.

I am making a neoprene (scuba foam) or polyurethane foam "koozie" with a lanyard for mine.

I think Shifu Master should look for a manufacturer over there in China........HINT HINT It'd be a $$$ maker.

I can find them for beer, soda, cell phones, wine, etc. Of course you could make them out of any material, even crochet, Chain mail, etc..

sherdyr --- I did that with a wrist strap for awhile and had no issues....with the vmod1. Haven't tried with the v2, but it should work fine. I've never used a lanyard on any of my gear...but I have shopped for the perfect purse with pockets.

Smilee on part one of this thread posted a few pictures of a couple he made for his XL out of an old wallet.

did you have to bore a hole?

It just occurred to me that my metal guy can just attach a loop to the skin on the OUTSIDE. For some reason, I was thinking of a hole but it's not necessary.

Going to look for the wallet thing now. Thanks!

The second version has no bottom, so the shell is fixed in the outfit and pull out only the body with a battery and a bottle"

Wonder what Smilee is up to these days? Sure wish he would check in.

Yup! :Rolls out red carpet.:

But make sure you read the fine print:

All your Vmod belong to us............

Also, you have to weigh in on the 1.5 shifu or the 2.0 or 2.5.

And it better be the right answer! :p

I just got 1.5 ohm 306 Ciscos in my vapemail today, but only because Tezcatlipoca made me! It's his fault, I swear. If you kick me out, he has to go too. I'm taking him down with me.

I got my VMOD 2.0 last week, and it has made me a better citizen. Am I invited to the party?

What? Can't hear you too well when you speak so softly... ;)

THis is so right on... racehorse
just adding: I want people to know that imo RBA's were created not only because disposables only lasted so long before vape quality diminished or the atty died, and with some minor material you could just keep making your own for pennies, and forever...
but 2. moreso because vapers wanted a superior tasting vape as well!
Their popularity today is a testament to the fact that most if not all "conventional" atomizers fail to reach that better flavor value.
The disclaimer that RBA's are for experienced vapers holds true because making those coils/wicks is a skill btw.
My disclaimer is that it's true... heheh

"shifu" spec (1.5 for me so far) is a revelation... they didn't have these when rba's were created. It's a "hybrid" like the HH357 (hand made), and the Aero... it's a disposable, but it is every bit as good as a well set up RBA in so many ways (and all without the fiddling).

Plug and Play.
I have them for every APV I own, if needed, and so far I don't see any problem with them being designed for bottom feeding and used on a non b/f device.

So uke, I'm not a doofus because I refuse to subscribe to Team RBA? Give me an atty... give me a GOOD atty (translate: slant coil) and leave the fiddling to musicians...

Here's a link to the first one. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...om-feeding-mod-vapage-com-215.html#post528290

And, yes, he used it with a lanyard.

My computer is playing games with me, and it's winning. I clicked on your link, tearose, and it directs me here:

Anyone else have that happen?

My wife has a lanyard that she won at a local vape meet. I can't remember the vendor =(. Basically it uses 3 velcro straps laid out in a capital "I" shape. The clip or keyring was attached to the vertical part of the "I" and it works good for multiple mods. Its very easy to switch.

I'm not into lanyards though. I carry my stuff in my pocket or in my backpack I use as my trunk for my motorcycle lol.

Well, it's a good thing that that is NOT your wallet........cuz it looks EMPTY!

Thank goodness it's just your address book, right?

Here's a bit more:

Thanks Tearose.

really, all that is needed on the vmods is for shifu master to place 2 small metal loops on the casing on the outside to attach a lanyard. Actually even one will do.

Kinda been lurking this thread for a while. Got my XL about a month ago. It's all I use at work now, and even a lot at home. My other vape hardware is jealous and lonely. I liked the Vapage 1.5 atties I ordered along with the unit a lot. I got a couple packs of the new "shifu" style 1.5's a week ago, and just started using one last night. I like the vape a little better, but they don't seem to hold as much juice as the older ones. I have to squonk it for every drag, or my second drag will taste burnt, like a hotspot on a Genesis setup.

On to the lanyard debate. I don't want a lanyard. I want a clip! (Someday I'm going to gut one of these radios and make the ultimate stealth mod)

That would look great.......what is that radio, Motorola? I went to "Motorola school" but for routers.

Yep, it's a Motorola, 2 channel FM.
I never played with Motorola routers much. Had around 50 Cisco routers to deal with back in my IT days. The routers were easy, it was the circuits and lying telcos that were a pain.

Actually if there is a full load then I can go a few drags and my "Drags" are like choo choo trains; vapor coming out my nose as vapor going in my mouth for a long as I can.
If it's not the first draw off a full feed, I am tilting as I draw.
Nothing quite like having just the right amount in there for full flavor and great vapor.
- the shifu is much more forgiving than the HH37 which in my experience needs just hte right amount of juice in there - not too much, not too little.
When HH357 first got my attention, it was the single most important development in my vaping experience; an atomizer with better than decent flavor. Now that shifu is here, and for the price, it just keeps getting better. I'm beside myself!
