Top of the bottle needs to lose 2.5mm.

That is fine. I want a none sticky tape and no solder solution to attaching the wires.

Ground is easy, so is positive on top it is the bottom one.

I know as I have used of for weeks that it works flawlessly with tape just do not like it. Would rather have the Kick easily available to amend wattage depending on the juice you are vaping.

Okay, just had to have the Kick in the Vmod XL so I used durgidog method and the 18490 AW IMR. It was incredibly easy. No soldering, no wires and no change to the Vmod chassis with the exception of having to move one foam bumper in the battery holder.

For those that are like me, the `show me`types, here are some pics.

thumbs up to Durgidog and SloHand, that looks so simple even I might could do it. Thanks!

And thanks for the heads-up about "tags".

I'm still working on the feeding, but it seemed to improve a lot when I took off the atomizer that was shipped with the VMod XL and replaced it with the ShiFu 1.5's that I ordered.

I still occasionally end up with juice everywhere, but I'm hoping that will go away with the learning curve. I have to say, it's pretty nice that there's nothing on the mod that juice will affect.

New VMod XL owner as of this morning!!! WoooooHooooo (waving to everybody like a mad woman! ;-))!!! My very first mod & very first attempt at bottomfeeding! Excited & nervous here! LOL!!
OK ... Maybe these are dumb questions (I've been known to ask a few, but better safe than sorry! I'm a safety freak! :) the negative end goes on the little spring thingie, correct? I'm assuming the battery comes already charged, correct? AND this little plastic ring around the bottom of the atomizer ... That stays there, correct? And if it does, do I have to use the little plastic ring on another atomizer if I chose to use a different one? I've never seen atomizers with this flat plastic piece on the end near the threads --- the ShiFu atty's also have them! AND how far do I fill the little plastic bottle ... Not all the way, correct? Can you tell I'm sitting here looking at my new XL in AWE ... Inspecting every little part?!! LOL! Thanks guys! .

Hey carlton!! :)
OK ... Cool! Yeah! Where's AT & Kattttttttttt?? LOL! They would know about this o-ring biz!! I did get a couple extra's in my extras to have on hand! From the looks of it, not too sure it'd be real easy to replace em should I need to! But maybe ... Tho I'm NOT a "fiddler" of sorts! ;-) What I'm perplexed about is the FLAT plastic piece on the bottom of the atty! If I can use any atty ... Does that thing need to be there? Soooooooooooo ... Are you still in the learning curve with your XL carlton? How's it going? That's what I'm a little leery of ... But maybe I'll get the hang of this bottomfeeding stuff quickly! LOL! OK ... Gonna charge up this batt! Decide which juice to try in it first ... And how far to fill it up! ;-) Thanks!! :)

As far as I know the plastic ring around the bottom of the atty is only for using the atty in a different device. You won't use it with the VMOD. You'll notice that the attys for the VMOD have a center post that sticks out further than other attys/cartos.

2423kids, as far as feeding goes here is the easiest way to get started , turn the vmod upside down you will see a bubble float up in your bottle , that is juice going into the feeding chamber.Turn the vmod back upright squeeze the bottle and juice will go up into the atty well.Do a couple of dry pulls to suck juice into the atty and vape away.

That o ring on the atty I believe is for older Vmods, I have used 306,510 and HH357 attys on the vmod and you don't need the oring on those.

Hope that helps.

The ring was needed on the older version of VMod to stop leaks.

Not required on the V2's or XL. You can leave it or take it off.

If you are used to carto's and find you are having issues learning how to feed an atty just put a carto you know in there and invert the squirshing until you see the carto is perfectly filled.

That is what I did when I got my VMod then moved to atty's.

Oh and of course the VMod prefers Bounty Hunter as well lol Only kidding...if you use higher VG bases bottom feeders play really nicely with them.

Still charging up here! ;-) Alrighty then ... Per VModer Veteran's advice, I'll remove this plastic piece from the bottom of my atty! Just wasn't sure what it was there for -- may be important! What's it supposed to do? Just knew I'd not seen an atty with a plastic piece on the bottom! But what do I know ??? ... I'm a VModer newbie! Thanks guys! Any other tips or advice ... Feel free! ;-) Kinda wishing I'd also ordered one of those cute colorful shells too! ;-)

I also suggest you remove that little white oring/washer from the atty. When you order new one's they won't be installed any more but will be in the bag for those that want to install them for use on other mods. They are not needed, but only an extra precaution.

They were made to insure one doesn't screw the atty on too tight. A couple of non-vmod users were hurting their connectors on other mods by doing so. It hasn't been an issue with the Vmod structure.

Yeah, I have the opposite problem! I use AVA atomizers on all of my bottom-feeders, and on my VMOD's I literally have to tighten them down with a wrench to get the center post to make contact. :(

OK ... STILL charging! Red light still on! Two hours! So if the batt comes with a partial charge ... How long does the batt take for a full charge? Just wondering ...

Go for it.

Probably has enough charge in there to last you till you go to bed. Then you can charge it over night.

Kids, the best way to feed the atty is with gravity.
Hold the vmod button down juice bottle on the top.
As you hit the button to draw vapor move the vmods rear up from parallel.
This will gravity feed the atty. there's an art to doing it and takes a little practice.
Once you get the hang of gravity feeding you shouldn't have to squawk the bottle but every 10-15 draws or so. You will notice when the flavor starts changing which means its time to squeeze the bottle a little till 2 or 3 big air bubbles float up.
For gravity feeding you need to keep the bottle pretty full at all times. I never let mine get below half. I fill it up right to the bottom of the screw neck.
Hope that helps.
