The Vmod XL 18650 Bottom Feeding Mod from Vapage - Part 2

New VMod XL owner as of this morning!!! WoooooHooooo (waving to everybody like a mad woman! ;-))!!! My very first mod & very first attempt at bottomfeeding! Excited & nervous here! LOL!!
OK ... Maybe these are dumb questions (I've been known to ask a few, but better safe than sorry! I'm a safety freak! the negative end goes on the little spring thingie, correct? I'm assuming the battery comes already charged, correct? AND this little plastic ring around the bottom of the atomizer ... That stays there, correct? And if it does, do I have to use the little plastic ring on another atomizer if I chose to use a different one? I've never seen atomizers with this flat plastic piece on the end near the threads --- the ShiFu atty's also have them! AND how far do I fill the little plastic bottle ... Not all the way, correct? Can you tell I'm sitting here looking at my new XL in AWE ... Inspecting every little part?!! LOL! Thanks guys! .

I'll only add that the extra little white plastic ring is a nose ring, dahlink.

I'm not consciously feeding juice but my VMod is leaking around the cone. What's up with that people? My nic base is 50/50, but I suppose the end mix could be 30VG/70PG with flavoring.

Foggy, check the O rings. One is inside the connector, and the other in on the chimney (vent stack).

7214, do you have a multi meter to check the voltage? I find this battery to be taking WAY too long, but maybe not.

Update! LOL! Never got the Green light! Not sure why ... ??? 5 hours seems plenty of charging time! Couldn't stand it anymore ... WOW!!! I like it!! I'm thinking the 2.0 atty might be a little too hot for me! I'm a lightweight!! I've been using a standard resistance atty since the beginning of my vaping adventures! I'll give it a little while and see ... Probably should have gotten the 2.5 ShiFu's!! Geeeesh! I can't imagine the 1.5's!!!!! Whoah!!!

I do not care for the 1.5Ω attIEs. The 2.0s are plenty warm for me. So, yes, maybe the 2.5s would be best for ya, numberskids.

OK ... I think I got the hang of this bad boy now ... Somewhat! ;-) First few puffs ... Nice!! (Ummm that would be the atty priming drops! LOL!) Then I burnt my throat up with a 1/2 dozen or so dry hits ... UGH!!!! Took the thing apart and WATCHED how this whole process WORKS ... Put back together ... This time not tightening atty down quite as much ... And MUCH better! Still, I think 2.5's will be where I settle ... But we'll see! ;-)

Hi, y'all. Been a while. How's the XL fan club doin'? Just wanted to report that I'm on month 6 of my HH.357 atomizer. It's been getting a bit spitty of late. Maybe an alcohol soak is due. My AW protected 2600 mAh black beauties are starting to not hold as much of a charge, that makes a difference, not as smooth a vape at lower voltage. It's maybe time for a new set of batteries and another HH.357. But I've gone through a LOT of juice on this XL rig. At 90+% glycerin, that' a lot o' glycerin, that liter bottle is showing some real depletion. I'm doing my part to recycle the main eco-fuel byproduct. I just timed myself. 10 minutes to mix up 2 30ml bottles with some complex flavors for the week, and I use a scale, none of that eyeball technique. It's become routine. Can't imagine doing without this XL deevice. Vape on!
