I never took the chamber or the cone off mine when I sent mine in once.........and I got them back, if that soothes your soul any. :)

As for 50% off sales somebody was talking about, I really hope they don't have them or only once a year. It devalues their product, IMHO, and it's a great product and shouldn't suffer that fate. I say this because watching them re-sell in the classies they are terribly devalued, and one that I sold people kept PMing me and saying they were waiting for a 50% off sale. My thought was that they would be waiting a long time, and as it turns out.........they were. :)

There is absolutely positively no reason for a $100 mod to have a re-sale value of less than 1/2 of that........it makes no sense but it also sort of gives the product a reputation for being....well, cheap! And it isn't and shouldn't be.

30% off is a great deal and really satisfactory IMHO. When you are constantly selling something for less than the established price, it is very difficult for the customer to assign a value to the product. Because, the value becomes a moving target.

I would sell the colored skins with the vmods and just make that an option when purchasing. I think more of them would fly out the door that way. I realize that they make $ off the colors by selling separately, but I think they would make up for that in sheer VOLUME by offering colored vmods instead of black and silver. I think customers would pay full retail for kits with colors in their choice, and drip tips carried there should be very "matchy" to the skins.

Do this, instead of having so many sales, and I think the product would retain better value, sales volume would increase, and also the product would have a larger following / larger fan base.

JMHO, I quit smoking with a vmod so it is near and dear to my heart.

Also, sell the chamber piece and cones as accessories. Better to carry these and keep your customers happy. Because the first time they are told they have to buy a whol new kit because they lost their cone is going to be the last time they order. :)

Okay, got a few things off my chest about one of my favorite products.

Amen to that!!! Double Amen! Despite the troubles I've seen lately with the company...the Vmod itself I truly love. I have thought about going with REO or the Bogger...but aesthetically neither appeal to me the way the Vmod does, for all that people go on about "art" etc. I also am put off by the talk about "stressing the firing pin" with flat tops (most of my batteries are flat tops...so I'd have to buy a whole new batch?) and well, frankly, I've invested quite a bit of my limited fixed income in the Vmod. It was the bottom feeder that appealed to me most going back a year ago. I finally got one. Now two (although one is still being "repaired"). I have the supplies for them. I am happy with how they work, and how they squonk. I'm reluctant to start all over with another type bottom feeder. I will if I must...but really hope it doesn't come to that.

I sincerely hope things get straightened out with my problems with CS. I want very much to be loyal to my Vmod!

And then there was one...and that is on loan.

So VMod'less barring one weekend when I thought I would err Speed wagon shall we say, c'mon not that hard lol, for over 14 months.

Not leaving for lack of regard just a case of someone needing attys far more than I did leaving me none and other stuff I need to budget for.

I'll be back.

And Fourth ---- If you have concerns about stressing the pin with flat tops there is an easy fix and probably easier than your last modding job.:p

You can get some of those tiny tiny magnets (the size of the button top and very inexpensively on FleaBay) and super glue them to the top of the battery. No super glue? Nail polish will work too. It wouldn't have to be a magnet, any conducting tiny metal nut or washer would do.

I admit, I don't glue mine. But, some recommend doing so to insure it doesn't slip and make contact with wires. That would not be good.

It's funny, some Vmods work best with button on the bottom and some on the top. Shi-fu does tweak the batches a bit. It was my understanding that the current batch worked best with flat tops or button on the bottom. I guess it's a matter of what works best for you.

Thanks Tearose! Actually ..in the case of the flat top dilemma, those are what I use with my Vmod. I did get one during the 30% sale, so I do have one now! And I've been using mostly my flat tops with the Vmod from the get go. I do have some button tops...and have used them too with no trouble. The thing I was concerned about was if I jumped ship from the Vmod to the REO that I would HAVE to use button tops. Which wouldn't make me happy at all, since some of my flats are basically brand new. I do have some Rare Earth magnets I could use, though. Not real happy about doing that sort of thing, but I have before with the MV 3.7 box mod, and it does fine, really.

I saw Andy was selling his Vmod on the classies last night. Wondered what was going on!

I got snail mail in my on land mailbox from vapage. About sales.

Not sure I like that idea. I can keep up with sales thru their newsletter to my email.

The amount of paper that comes into my life is already........mountainous.

Not sure how to get off this list now.

LOL You haven't seen my mailbox. We keep our recycling bin handy and full!

I'd rather get mail than phone solicitation. Example: Sure, I bought a Christmas gift for a relative on-line through you. Now you call me at work and home every month and send a catalog, too, reminder e-mails and flyers. True story. Not Vape Related. (I did get them to stop calling me.)

I'm not crazy about so much junk mail in snail or e-mail, but it's better than all bills. And, since vape mail often arrives in the mail box, it's not so bad these days to check the mail.

My junk snail mail gets "refused return to sender" written on it and put back in the mail box. phone calls get ignored and/or blocked. email is sent to spam. I hate spam :(

Interesting muzichead, Mine don't even come close to the firing pin. Kind of curious how you have yours set up. Did you mod the inner frame at all?

Didn't mod the inner frame.... I soldered a wire onto the Kick and a piece of corrugated fastener and just placed it in the frame with the battery. There are 3 little neoprene strips in the frame with the battery, (that holds the battery snug), and the top piece held the Kick in snugly for a while, but worked its way loose, finally fell out, and the Kick was sitting on an angle. I thought the part of the Kick that you change the wattage would keep it from going up into the switch, but not quite enough. Since adding the rubber washer, I now have a gap of about 1/8-3/16" for the switch to engage. Previously it was around 1/16"... Not much at all. Never thought it would be a problem. I also forgot to add that when the mod heated up, it was so much that the switch came loose from the piece it sits inside. No biggie... A little super glue and it is back in place and don't have to worry about it coming back out.

Here is a link to how I have the Kick installed. If you look real close at the 2nd pic, you can see what I was talking about how far up it was...

When you are way out in the woods, there is no garbage pickup. Everything has to be separated, burned and/or brought to disposal company. Its why I have a PO Box. I was surprised to see anything in my on-land mailbox, I never use it, because it isn't my shipping address.

But I know what you mean about being deluged with solicitation......that happened to me after I bought one of those christmas fruitcakes to take to the nursing home. I don't think they will ever stop. The lady I bought it for has long passed away, and yet 6 years later I guess they are still expecting an order from me.........especially IF THEY BOTHER ME A LOT! LOL

The long awaited 50% off sale code "Vape4825".

Thank you Mikey! :D You beat me to it! And Grrrrrrrrrrrr!! ... As I JUST placed an order last Monday during the 30% off sale -- wouldn't ya just know it! AND (just a little rant here!) ... I found that 50% code on FACEBOOK ... It was NOT emailed to me. And yep ... As a long time Vapage customer, I AM on their email list for their sales (for a year now). I've never gotten a Vapage email yet informing me of their 50% off coupon/sale!! (Rant over!) AND ... I DID use that 50% off coupon this morning and put in a LARGE order ... ;-) I'm hoping my 30% off order gets fixed and mailed out ... Before the avalanche of 50% orders hit! Ugh!

Happy Memorial Day everyone! :)

I added to the avalanche. Went ahead and ordered a v.2 Vmod...and some spare bottles...and a pack of slant coils! I shouldn't have, but if someone waves a 50% coupon at me, I'm done for!

I also heard from ShiFu...and help IS on the way! Should be here next (I mean THIS) week in fact. Sent the tracking number and everything! Okay. So stuff happens. I don't WANT to use any other bottom feeder. I LIKE the Vmod! So...maybe things are going to work out after all!

Hey...and I'm even learning how to use the slant coil atomizers! Maybe I'm not really "learning challenged" after all. So far so good! Now I have to try to clean the ones I (probably) messed up in my abortive previous efforts!

That's kinda a bummer for me...I don't need a forth vMod !
And I'm pretty well stocked up with supplies now....O' well.

That is great news Forth !!!
Guess someone really is looking out for you. Hope they get that cracked case to you too.
Post a pic when it comes.

Pretty much Vaping exclusively on my vMods. And really do like the small size of the 2.0,
very pocket friendly ! (I think your going to like it too Forth)
Thought the small battery and bottle would be an issue, so far...no problem at all.
Though, I did buy three more 14500 batteries....from MVS (Backups), the Vapage ones do appear to be good also.
And I'm running the hybrid attys in all three now...
They run a little funky till they break in...but once you get them going, and keep em wet- they are little vape hoses-
Just churning out nice vape hits.

The long awaited 50% off sale code "Vape4825".

Thanks mikeymack for posting the code!! I also only get little codes for cartomizers and juice in my email every week. I'm so glad I checked in on the thread this morning, HELLO Everyone BTW! I was finally able to get some 14500 Batts for my little 2.0, which has been on the shelf with dead batteries for while. It was my first BF and I was astounded by the vape when I first got it. Gonna be good to have it back, got some atty's too. I still enjoy my VMod's, but I've been doing the RBA thing for a while due to having a very low vape budget these days...so... Thank you!!!
