Here she is, in all her long lasting glory!

Kind of reminds me of a Walkie-Talkie.....

More power than I can handle with this R91/VNH build........

:banana::banana::thumbs:

Woot woot!!!! Way to be Mr Mikey!

So now tell the truth besides being butter smooth power.....how does it compare to the vamo at the same higher wattage setting?

I will let you know later tonight. I havent eaten all day and I am getting a nic buzz from playing with my new toy, need to go round up some food.

Later, I will hook up a Genny on both and let you know. Its kind of hard to tell with this R91, the damn thing hits so hard regardless.

OK, no doubt about it, watt for watt the dna is stronger, and smoother. Now, is that because the Vamo is lying, or because of the better power regulation of the dna? One thing for sure, it doesnt have that PWM edge to it. It is a good little board! There is only one thing that it lacks, and that is an actual voltage reading of your battery. It does have the little Fuel gauge but I actually pay attention and religiously swap bats at 3.6v. Oh, and I wish it had mounting holes for using standoffs or whatever.

Ok, so "Mission Accomplished".

I got one hell of a good Mod for $90 and about 2 days work. I like the way it hits, I like the way it feels in my hand, I like that it was made by "my" hands.

I dont think I have ever even seen a commercial Mod that competes in this league in terms of capacity. There are commercial dna Mods out there with the same feature set otherwise, but anything I would even consider starts at $250 and up.

Naturally I see every little blemish in this one, but most others wont. It was a learning curve for me , and there are a few things I will do different next time. All in all I am pleased though, considering it was my first, and damn sure wont be my last......

Oh, and the FDA cant stop me......... PRICELESS

20 watts at 3.3 volts is a tick over 6amps, with this bat holder "rated" at 5a I dont want to push it too hard. At 3.6v - 20w works out to 5.5a. I figure most devices have 10% headroom (service factor) built in, but not sure beyond that.

I am not planning on using the PCB, just a regular battery holder, my DNA12 has worked fine controlling the batteries and I think the DNA20 should do the same. May add another meter as the DNA meter is passive and I like to see actual load readings.:)

Do share about this meter idea?

Every time I have I checked the voltage under load at the atty with a DNA20 mod it has been right on what the screen is displaying (within rounding). I would be interested to hear if others are getting something different.
