Back in the day if we had a nasty wire cutter (Mutation X V3, I'm looking at you!), we used to trim short pieces of wire flush with the bottom of the wire opening and stand them in the post holes. This will fill up the space so the screw will not go down past the bottom edge and cut smaller gauge wire. Half a dozen 24g pieces should fill up that space quite nicely.
Now this sounds interesting, had not heard that suggestion/solution before. Going to give it a try so I won't have to wrap the wire around the screw head. I use smaller gauge wire and the screw almost always cuts the wire if I use the holes in the posts. I will try this on the next rda I build. Thanks :)

This deck is a dream to build on and wick, so simple !

Built some fused twisted Claptons but with higher gauge wire this time for the HoG, comes out at 0.5 ohms, this should be perfect for that mod......if the wicking can keep up and of course it doesn't leak like my last tank, cough, mason, that is, as we speak, still leaking away in a plastic pot..

Same principle as the Supreme, Boreas, Modfather where the juice comes underneath and soaks into the wick, basically an RDTA. Just by initial thoughts without vaping it, this is the best Griffin design so far, hmmm, Kennedy airflow me thinks.

It's a nice looking setup. Does it stay dry? I ask only because with the way those 2 air holes are positioned, the wick has to get really close to those edges, and I can imagine some juice ending up tracking down those holes. Then again, I'm a crappy builder and that will work perfectly the way it's set up. MY build would probably dribble down those air tubes.

A 10 wrap 24g coil on 2.5 is a real sketchy build, you'll need an excellent juice feed to keep a coil like that saturated properly and the Goblin Mini will not provide that flow.

Oh, I wasn't going to vape that, I was just trying a couple different coils to see what the resistance would be on them, and if they would stay consistent. Once I figure out the "secret," if I ever do, then I'll put something in there that I can reasonably vape. Right now I'm just wasting wire, but I'm trying to learn something so the wasted wired wire won't really be wasted. ;)

@Rixsta

I have finally fix the seeping from the Black Boreas!! I wanted to wait before I posted this here. It's been 10 days and no seepage!!! I was going crazy the past couple of months trying to find a solution. I went into my parts box and was trying different o-rings from different atty's that I have. Well around Christmas I had ordered a whole bunch of parts from the Vaporbank sale. I used the 2 thin o-rings from the Tobecco Kayfun V4 parts bag to replace the 2 on the airflow adjuster. Well they are working great. I have been bottom filling and no seeping what so ever! I am back in Love with my Boreas!!

I have a Tobecco Super Tank RTA 25mm and the Cthulhu RTA V3

Tobeco Super Tank Two Post RTA - 25mm and Mini

Cthulhu Mod Cthulhu V3 Two Post RTA

I'm interested in the Cthulhu for the single post build. Hoping that one works well.

Best juice control out of the Griffin series too and I must admit, it's so nice to turn the JFC off and fill the tank without screwing the top back on, tipping upside down and quickly vaping it to get a vacuum.

Nope, I've filled it up, screwed the top and it's sitting there as I'm waiting for these 18650's to charge.

Threading is all good, nice and clean, so far, so good.
Love to hear how the flavor compares to the Boreas. Let us know one you put it through its paces.

The one your getting has a 2.5 26ga dual setup. Works great.

My personal one has 28ga parallels and its about the same but just a touch better.

I did something similar. Took a piece of aluminum fence wire that just fit in the screw hole. Cut it so it was just a bit long then used the screw to mash it down. Made the wire hole a tiny bit smaller but no more cut wires.

My wife has a 25mm STM RTA. She hasn't built it yet. Its to be her first one she builds herself. Its a good looking unit.

Good idea, but Gold would have worked better ;)

Cool! So I can make more if need be. :) You should have seen me fretting over replacing the coils in that Lemo2. I wanted to try building (that was my first one), so I just looked at your coils and copied them. Came out EXACTLY the same. :D

Now are you guys talking about putting a piece of wire (or several small ones) in the hole vertically, to fill up the open space underneath the side of the hole? Or horizontally, filling the hole so the screw traps the wire against the smooth side of the wire stuck through the hole? I'm not getting what you mean exactly...

Take the screw out and put wire down in the screw hole so it fills the bottom of the screw hole.

Thanks! That's what I thought at first, then someone said something that made me doubt that, so I wanted to make sure. I'll do that. :) If I can find wire to fit it, that is.

Been vaping it all day, it's been in my pocket with the JFC closed, opened, closed ect, no leaks at all, perfectly dry..

Didn't like it on the HoG mech, it looked stupid lol but works great on the DNA, 70w, lovely.

Flavor is great, not better than the Boreas, I'd have to say about the same, it IS better than the Griffin 25, these wicks get saturated a lot better and you can cut them shorter and just lay them in the bottom, I have, hang on, i'll see, OK, lol, chain vaped it at 130w, no dry hits. Wicks very well, good tank this one.

You must push the wicks away from the tubes though and you could probably higher the coils a little, mine were super close, dunno if that would affect flavor, only been using it today.

It wicks better than the Boreas ? Hmmm, I think it does as I said above, the juice doesn't have to travel far and you don't have to over pack the bottom of the deck (I probably over wicked it tbh)

    Dry as a bone..

Thanks I'm a happy vaper right now. Finally enjoying it like it was supposed to be. :thumb:
