Somehow I ended up back in the game.

My wife and I have been pretty settled in for at least a year. I played with some regulated squonkers but other then that I been using the same old same old. Wife has stuckwith her Black Friday Alien and Sig 213. 58k puffs on her Alien. I've built her some RTA's but every time I turn around she's back to her Bay Beasts.

Few weeks she was having trouble. Off to a vape shop and the guy sold her on the Geekvape Aegis. Then told her they don't sell it. WTF?? So she got a Crown III and Kaos.

I then ordered her a Aegis. And it came with some unknown tank which I considered a throwaway at the deal price. I can't even recall whats its called. Turns out she loves that tank. And the Aegis is a dream for her in VPC. She hates TC but VPC works bang on.
But I fell in love with the Crown III. So I got one. I'm just not a tank guy but boy howdy does this tickle me pink off and on. The flavor off this thing is off the hook. At 70w. I never vape that high yet here we are.

Mixed in these orders was some 20700 batteries for my Capo squonker that seems to never ship.

But based on a kick .... mech build I decided to order a Pulse box

Then the Mesh RDA caught my eye. But "they" say use the Mesh in TC. But since DNA mods are banned from the property and all my TC mods are a couple years old I ordered and Capo for the Messh.

And the Engine Nano was calling me and its on the way.

And more 20700 batteries and we now have four mods that take them.

The Aegis is a great mod if you keep the builds under 60W. It cuts power back quite early due to the voltage sag on a single 26650. The latest firmware from GeekVape brought back the resistance lock so the TC is usable now. You can't adjust the resistance value so I just check resistance with the + key as the coil cools, and then lock it in with the - key 0.02 ohms higher than detected for a perfect vape.

Be careful of the 20700's, iJoy is back to their slimy ways again and releasing lower grade 20700's... The crap ones have a 4 leg top cap and the good ones have 5 legs.

I too have a Mesh RDA inbound as well as a 2X700 battery cap for the Aegis. The Mesh will go on the Drone for a bit, I don't know how squonking will work with it, but it will be fun.

The Engine Nano was one of the worst RTA's I ever picked up, everything about it was meh... Tried all the build's from the Nano thread and then some. The Nano gladly drank up all the juice without giving back anything enjoyable vape wise. I finally piffed it away to another ECF'er, hopefully you have better luck with yours.

I bought 26650's for a DNA75 mod. Researched them to death. Was extremely unhappy with the way they preformed. Worked ok with an 18650. Used the mod for afew days and gave it to my wife. She used it a couple days and hated it. And there it sat for a year until the DNA purge of 2017. Gave it to a buddy and he used it for a week and gave it back saying the batteries are NFG. I took it back and checked it out. Chip is borked, with just afew hours use. Saved the batteries though and they work great in the Aegis for SWMBO. With 4300 MaH you'd think they'd last forever but thats no the case but they last pretty good. Her Aegis came with both caps. They don't last as long as the 26650's so I took them back for the Pulse and Capo as I need the extra amps while she does not.

Was in the city this morning and stopped at a vape shop. So many tastey juices. But I'm all about my home brew

So its a crap Winter day here and I'm just being a bum watching a history of WW I on Prime and decided the Driptech as abit much so grabbed a Kayfun 5 mini on a Cuboid Mini. Single clapton at 22w. Nice mild TV vape.

Well I don't know how the train came off the rails but some how it got on 80w.

Jesus I don't know if I'm coming back from that hit.

I decided to backtrack a bit, today. I had started cleaning my vape shelf... no small task... when I came across my iStick 100W. The original... no TC, just wattage and voltage. I had tossed in the back because it suffered from a sticky fire button. Ah, WTH... ain't got nothing but time... I tore the mod down, and found the problems. The button had rough spots on the sides, and the "spring" was nothing more than a silicon grommet. I used my thumbnail to scrape off the rough bits - this was a chromed plastic button, after all - and replaced the short grommet with a longer one... from the top of a Kanger Protank 1 coil of all things. Worked like a champ! I reassembled everything, installed batteries, and nothing went boom, so, I went off in search of a suitably vintage tank. I ended up with a 0.26 ohm build (dual 6 wrap, 2.5 mm, KA1) in the UD Zephyrus V2. Restrictive, but flavorful at a mild 50 watts.

I just bought a 26650 mech mod for no real reason other than it matched a tank...that I bought for no real reason. Well, OK, it looked like it would work like a big dual coil KayFun so I grabbed it. Anyway, I've been using my 18650's in it because it came with an adapter and I don't have any 26650's yet. I'm not going to go any lower than 0.75 Ohm and I'm not going to go any higher than 1.25 Ohms. Trying to settle down to right around 0.90 on the thing. Should I worry about Voltage drop at all when I'm going to be using it for MTL at low Wattage like that?

Also I'm thinking of getting two of the iJoy 4200 mAh at 30 Amps CDR (per Mooch). It looks like I could go a few hundred mAh higher and lose some CDR on a different battery, but that doesn't really seem worth it since this is my first mech mod and I'd rather give myself plenty of safety cushion on the Amp rating. Seems like my battery will last longer when used gently as well. What do you think, is that a decent battery to use?

Oh - and I picked 0.90 Ohm because according to my app that puts me at right around 12 Watts when I get down to 3.3 Volts. When I put my tank on a regulated mod it was a decent enough vape down to 12 Watts and then became noticeably weak for my tastes under that. So that will give me a warning when my battery needs to be swapped out. The tank becomes useless to me before I discharge the battery too much.
