There doesn't seem to be a lot of love for the 808

I used to have an Elite 808, very nice setup, though I didn't like the Clear and Easy tanks at all. Like Vapo, I tried the E-Smart clearomizer from LiteCig, they are truly the best I've ever found. I think they would be perfect to use with the Elite 808. :)

Yeah I personally really love the Elite batteries and the 2ml whistle tip cartos are nice as well. Also really like their Elite Premium tobacco liquids, all 4 are solid in their own right and the Storm and Menthol are top notch.

Agree about the Clear and Easy's though, they are straight dreadful, although I'm speaking on the older version.

As I just asked Vapo, do these clearo's leak though?

I did read this in the other thread as well. Thanks for the rec. Do they leak though?

No problems with leakage here, not even after I lost the little washer that seals the mouthpiece against the atomizer tube, or when I tip the clearo upside-down to get the last little bit of juice to flow to the wicks. (Note that tipping is not necessary with "normal use" since the wicks are pretty long and extend almost to the bottom of the tank).

The ONLY problem I've had with the E-smarts is that I seem to have burned the wicks in a couple of them by running them on too high a voltage using a pass-through. One of them still works, albeit with a slight detriment to flavor, but I'll probably end up chucking the other one. On typical 808 battery voltages of 3.4-3.7V, however, there've been no problems at all.

I have three titan batteries from vapage, and three cig a likes from them all 808...I would love to branch out, but it does seem that for newbies like me, its hard to find the threading information. Who sells 808 and labels them as such?

There's really no easy answer for that. Some places sell mostly 808 threaded items. Like Halocigs.com, Smokeless Image, CigEasy sells the Elite 808. Other vendors like LiteCigUsa and many others carry a variety of items in different threading sizes. Basically you just have read the description of items and hope they include clear information. If in doubt you can contact the seller and ask them for clarification or more information. :)

... I don't think everyone who takes up vaping necessarily wants to toke on something that looks like a flashlight or a mini-ICBM. I like the smaller form factor of the 808 ...

I had to quote this cause I laughed like hell when I read about ICBMs... still laughing, and I agree mostly.
I'm new to vaping also and am pretty invested in KR808D-1 format. Started with Halo G6 78mm Starter and backed them with the 102mm.
And I want to thank everyone around this forum for explaining so much about eCigs. Including info about the V2 batts I just ordered.

The question I haven't found an answer to. If I have to have a V2 charger because I can't use a Halo G6 charger. Yes/No?
Apparently the G6 batts are in the 3.5 volt range and the V2 is in the 4 something volt range. I totally understand the difference in voltage but charging them is moslty a matter of input/output voltage, amps and how long it's on the charger.

Feedback corrections please.

I am not sure if the charging polarities match between those 2. You could always just try it. I have a couple of 808s that are incompatible charger wise and the only thing that happens if I use the incomparable charger is it looks like it charges but it doesn't. So I don't really think you're going to hurt the batteries however I could be wrong.

just getting back into vaping and i have to say i love my old 808s from years ago, but batts are all junk, and was given an ego. love the batt life of the ego (considering i quit vaping cause i was camping and couldnt keep all my 808s charged), but dislike the size, and the push button is a pain at work (alway have a cig hangin from my mouth) so in that way i miss the auto 808. but 2 weeks in ive gone from a pouch of rollies a day, to 1 in 3 days, so i guess im gonna have to stick with the ego and protank.

...at least not on the general forums. I'm not sure why. It seems a bunch of people wanna steer newbies toward mods right away, but I don't think everyone who takes up vaping necessarily wants to toke on something that looks like a flashlight or a mini-ICBM. I like the smaller form factor of the 808 even though I gotta change batteries every couple of hours.

I wish I would have started with the big mods and worked my way down instead.

doesn't seem to be a lot of love?

I love my 808 and being a cheap penny pinching old fart I love them even more.
At 60 years old, I just don't feel the need to have the latest and greatest to hide behind a giant cloud of vapor.

Health issues forced me to give up on Marlboro, KR808's allowed me to have my nicotine fix and gave me a few more years to be a pain in the ..... Dressed them up with Kanger T4's and learned to mix my own juice. What more could a man ask for..
