There is no evidence that vaping can help you quit smoking.

Well.... Let's give them some evidence!

If you have completely quit smoking by switching reply to this thread by saying:

I am evidence.

If you haven't completely stopped, reply:

I am not.

Lets see how this goes.

It damn well works, i smoked 2 packs a day for about 14 years, and i am a very nervous person and tried everything to quit, on march 5th i bought a basic ego kit, and never touched a cigarette since..

I am Evidence!!! My mother is evidence and now even one of my co-workers is evidence and converting more evidence everywhere I go. Smoked analogs for 15 years and my mother much longer. We both were PAD smokers . She once went so far as hypnosis to quit but it didn't last forever. Once I vaped the first time, I never looked back. I let her vape my e-cig and she hasn't looked back.:2cool:

I haven't had a cigarette since I got my first disposable e-cig (have a much nicer setup). But I don't think they help you quit, I think it's a stellar substitute.

When Hurricane Sandy hit and we lost power here for 2 weeks my friend went back to regular cigarettes because he couldn't recharge. So as long as there's a power and juice, it's okay.

The only thing that makes you quit is when you actually quit everything: the nicotine, the ritual, the habit.

I have a question for thoes of you who say I am evidence. If for some reason your right to have an ecigarette was taken away (bans or something). Would you just be done with nicotine? or would you be forced to start smoking again? I have asked myself this question. I think that I have cut down my nicotine levels enough that if I didn't have access to my ecig, I could safely just give up nicotine altogether.

If I didn't have vaping I would I would probably go back to smoking.

I HAVE quit smoking. So yes, I AM evidence. There is NO WAY to equate smoking with vaping. The only thing they have in common is nic.

Evidence. More like living proof that it can work. I have tried so many things and so many times and I can truly say this is the first time I feel like "I can do this".
Way to go and yes you can do it. The cravings for me were about 85 % less than cold turkey or the patch. Also there is plenty of support here on ECF.
