They really screw ya if you don't DIY juice.

Yeah, I'm interested in DIY but I have a toddler living at home so I rather not risk it... won't somebody think of the children? (Crying hysterically)) :D

I am literally typing with one hand as my 8 day old baby sits atop my shoulder, so I feel ya! She just stopped crying!

This should not come as a surprise. First of all, this is not "screwing you" as much as it is providing you with a convenience/service. A medium coffee from Tim Hortons costs me about $1.50 for 10 oz, but I can buy a bag of Tim Hortons coffee grinds from the same dadgum window and get over 220 oz for a just under 7 bucks (and that could still be considered expensive). Since I don't DIY, I save all my money by not buying garbage food and making just about as much as I can when in the kitchen. Cost savings can be found in many areas of life and splurges follow similar patterns. It all depends on where you want to save and where you don't have to. 9 out of 10 juices that I buy are not any juice that is DIYable anyway--I dare anyone to try, though many have and are blowing up the DIY section with attempt after attempt; in essence wasting time, which, where I'm from is the same as money, and wasting money, which where I'm from is money. LOL. I do agree, however, that some vendors are merely DIYers on a large scale and when dealing with them, maybe folk are getting screwed?! I guess the take away is to not buy juice that is simple mix and shake, or to buy juice that is made all in-house with no Perfumer's Apprentice, Flavour Art, LorAnn's etc. Even though, some juice manufacturers that still use those flavorings do it in such a way that it just cannot be reproduced. Has anyone ever cracked the BWB RY4 code? NOPE! Not even close.

p.s. How much does a "large fry" cost at any restaurant or fast food chain? How much does a sack of potatoes cost? Now that is getting screwed if buying the large fry! Plus, making french fries is infinitely more simple, and less dangerous, than DIYing nicotine juice. Save where you can!

thats the way i see it too. i like to DIY some simple flavors, like 1-flavor type of stuff. just mix n shake. but i will never replace juice from my favorite vendor (NLV). i wont even begin to attempt to replicate any of that jucie. not worth my time. i am more than happy to buy that juice. i can DIY my simple citrus vapes that i like but when it comes to complex flavors, i leave that to the professionals.

Kemo,

Ask me why I never orderd Halo Prime 15 after we became friends...well, I am sure you know! haha! K-15 for the win...and cheap, like free-cheap, too. That also demystified some vendors and elevated others. DIY DIYable juice. All else, just buy it already.

Yes, I'm serious, thirty different 30ml juices mixed and put in addressed boxes/padded envelopes in about an hour and fifteen if they're quick.

If you're mixing them at all the same strength and all the same ratio.

Sure, DIYing, i have a big bottle of pre-diluted nicotine that only needs 5%-10% flavor to be ready for me. But I vape all 50/50. I'm aiming for around 25mg. I'm not even being precise to the decimal point about my nicotine because it's for ME, but I'd certainly want it to be in exactly the advertised nic level if I was making it for someone else.

But you're probably just trolling us some more.

ETA: Also, to be clear, I also disapprove of the DIY superiority complexes. I only started for fear of the FDA's impending idiocy. If not for that I would still be happily ordering juice from reasonably priced vendors. Hell, if it turns out the FDA's proposed legislation turns out to not be as bad as I fear, I may still treat myself with some ECB Dragon juices or fruit smoothie, or a big bottle of gorilla juice as a reward.

Again, we all realize DIY is much cheaper, and again, that's not the point.

I heard it's much cheaper, actually free, to catch your own fish than it is to buy it out of fancy restaurants or even out of a store.

Sometimes I think people that DIY exclusively think they are, somehow, hurting us by letting us know how cheap their endeavors are; but it doesn't hurt one single cent, or mL. Do I understand the thought process behind saving money? Yes! Do I do it with all things? No! Nobody does, so I bet we all can compare notes and make each other look like the other is paying way too much with something, no? Anyone here still using gasoline? hahahahahahahaha

You don't make your own gas??

Well...sometimes, depending on what's already in the tank. If it's from the Gulf of Mexico, I make a lot.

I missed this! Congratz Mr.Mann :)

Thanks!

On topic: DIY is cheaper and we all know that. Aside from knowing that, there isn't much more that can be said.

No offense meant. If you had read the whole thread you'd have seen how many times "I can make my own juice for x cents!" has been repeated. :)

That snippet is, well, let me show you how snippets work:

If you had read the tiny thread, you would've seen this goodie:

That snippet sounds like a plus one for the DIY side, correct?

Text taken out of context is the pretext to a lie. But, at least the lie is cheap, no?

If you are selling e-juice, fixing cars, or driving a truck for a living, you may be doing it because you enjoy it but you are also doing it to provide a living for your family. It costs money to live. It is no surprise that there is a 50-300% mark up on products to cover overhead of facilities and supplies, and employee wages and benefits. To think the mark up is unfair is ridiculous. If a vendor is grossly over priced, the market will correct itself... people will buy elsewhere.

How do you avoid these costs? Bargain shop or DIY, period. It's not meant as an insult. Discuss the best places to shop or DIY, to complain about the prices does nothing but create wasted noise or in some cases, it informs others of overpriced vendors.

Exactly the point some of us are trying to make.
