I've been thinking that I need to downsize on STUFF. Find stuff to send home with my niece when she is down next month...sell some stuff on ebay.
Well, I came across my late brother's collection of Bosson character heads. At first I thought that I could part with them. But once I started sorting and cataloging them, I knew that I could never, ever part with them. (I've only gone through about 40 of them and there are probably that many more yet to go through.)
Going through them just flooded my mind with memories...of finding a new one for him (he was always so hard to buy for), being mad at him when he started a gift shop and bought them for himself at trade shows, laughing at his step-grandkids when they were little and didn't want to be in the same room as the heads (these heads are very detailed...you expect them to start talking to you any moment), being happy that I was the one to inherit them.
Ahhh, memories of our lost loved ones...bittersweet, for sure.
