Did you tick the T&C box? I had a similar problem when I first started buying from ESG. I can't remember what the fix was exactly but it was a small thing. Go through the ordering stage carefully and it might pop out at you. Or contact ESG and let them walk you through it.:vapor:
So, there is no place in the US to get Titanium wire yet?
I tried ordering some from e-smokeguru, plus an Estereigon and an 18650 tube, and it wouldn't accept my Paypal or my Skrill :/

Yes, I did the T&C box, it did get me the first time I tried though,,,lol
Paypal messaged about can't use the card for this particular transaction, and Skrill messaged about selecting another payment method,,, strange stuff.
Wish ESG was setup to use a CC/Bank card the normal way instead of going through a third party.

No biggie yet, still have some time before the GG VIR is released ;)

There are places in the US to get titanium wire mrZoSo. I think imeo is still trying to figure out a way to make titanium ESG wire work with VIR....if he hasn't already. From what I read was that ESG was a grade 2 wire. And VIR works with grade 1.

The place I found in the US is a pretty good deal for grade 1 wire. But right now I'm still waiting on the ESG wire to be delivered to me. If I like that wire then I will place an order for the grade 1 Ti wire in the US.

The wire from the US needs to be tested. I can't recommend or tell anyone until the wire has been confirmed as safe to use for our application.

The picture in my previous post is my first build using titanium wire from ESG. I ended up rebuilding my Tilemahos three times tonight because I could not figure out what was wrong. But I should have just kept my first coil, because it was not the problem.

I was using the coil that was pictured and was not achieving vaping satisfaction. With this new titanium wire being new to me I thought maybe it had to be the wire.

The Ti wire takes more wraps to get the same ohms as kanthal of the same size. So with my first coil using Esterigon/Tilemahos mech mod combo, it was taking a long time to heat up the coil. Even though my coil was at 0.6 ohms. I thought that because the wire coil is longer than kanthal that maybe it will take longer to heat up.

I didn't realize that one of my 18650 batteries could not hold power anymore. After a few different builds using Ti wire, that is when I figured this out. I could not understand it until I figured out that battery was no good.

I replaced the bad battery with a good charged one and made the same 0.6 ohm coil like the first one I did. Now the Ti wire is how I imagined it would be.

The ESG Ti wire spool is awesome. It comes in it's own case that holds the spool. The spool of wire has a slot on the side to hold wire so you don't have to use tape to hold the wire to the spool. You can put the wire spool in your pocket or travel bag with no worries if you need .

Let us clarify something here. Is Imeo sending Fluid Vapor Titanium grade 1 wire or grade 2 wire?

The ESG Ti wire is grade 2 wire. I have some ESG grade 2 wire and it is fantastic! At this moment, from what I know, is that VIR cannot accept grade 2 wire. I think Imeo is trying to work around this but with VIR supposedly in production...I have no idea. Maybe Imeo can shed some light on this.

I think VIR can only read Ti grade 1 and SS wire.

From what I have read in this thread is that Ti wire from ESG does not work with VIR because it is grade 2.

I don't think Fluid Vapor will sell grade 1 without ESG selling it first IMO.

I have a source in the U.S. for grade 1 Ti wire but it still needs to be tested for what we are going to be using it for. As soon as I get it, I will test it and if it's good I will inform whoever wants to know about it...be it through PM or a simple link on this thread. This is a supplier forum so I will ask permission first before posting a link.

Just some personal considerations about our resistance wires .
After all trials on Ti wires . ESG brought this Ti wire that works awesome . Its not pure Ti , 92% Ti grade 2 , rest 8%, aluminum , nickel and iron . Using this wire since was released and have to say that my vaping experience has improved a lot . No issues at all . It´s absolutely tasteless , clean , stable and very friendly to use . I've tried in the past Ti grade 1 on my mech. mod and to be honest, didn't get any good results with it ( Ti grade 1 0,25 mm. ) found it springy and very low resistivity which doesn't fit my setups ( 1,5 - 2.0 ohms at 3,7 volts mech mod. ) . I understand that the value of resistance with VIR doesn't matter much , because we can use a wide range from 0,3 to 2,0 ohms with the same results and thats awesome yes , but if suddenly I decide for whatever reason , to use my atty in mech. mod i'd like to still have a usable setup based on my preference with out having to change my build and that is possible with the Ti alloy I'm using now . I know I can use SS yes which I tried as well and I don't like either and it is an alloy as well , but with a higher amount of nickel and chrome .

Thanks for the input guys. My main concern is Ti grade 1 that contains vanadium...is there any other components in Ti 1 that I should be concerned about?

The seller says it's lead and nickel free. I'm waiting on a response from seller to see what other elements are in it.

And I stand corrected. The titanium wire from ESG is an alloy.

The way I have read up on Ti grades is that grade 1 and 2 are classed as commercially pure grades but the difference between the two is the amount or oxygen (n)I think )used in the production process gives each of the 2 grades slightly different characteristics

There is a lot of info on Wikipedia about the differences in Ti grades if any one feels the need to read :toast:
