I don't think that the acquisition of knowledge should be kept from anybody, about anything, ever..
That said, everybody should be cautioned into thinking about their safety first, but, just like when we all started smoking, it being "dangerous" and "definitely going to kill you" did not stop a single cigarette smoker from trying and subsequently becoming addicted to them in their reckless abandon. If the knowledge is not freely available and "in your face" and somebody coming here with the hopes of gaining a greater understanding for their potentially dangerous behavior they are GOING to partake in, is met with an overwhelming backlash of "you just joined this arbitrary website yesterday so you clearly know nothing" and long term vaper elitism, they're going to leave, and that's no good.
Personally I would rather have the uneducated come here, and leave educated.
It's never going to be a 100% success rate, there will always be people who get angry because you say that what they are doing could hurt them and they need to learn more. Those people, are never going to go away. But there needs to be less of an attitude of vaping elitism (which I personally have encountered because I am a new member and apparently my post count is directly related to how long I've been vaping and how much knowledge I have) and more of an attitude of harm reduction.
If you want to change the world, the first thing you have to change is yourself.
