Best of both worlds:
It would seem to my simple mind that a system where an EGO charger and a removable battery could exist together can happen. If the device has all of the charging circuits in it and a removable cap with threads on the outside of the tube to minimize length, it could make most happy those who want the EGO type charge and those who like the change battery type. As a side effect the batteries could be replaced instead of disposing of the whole unit due to an aged or inoperative battery. So a slight environmental plus, along with the millions of cigarette butts not tossed on the ground. Just my two cents, (actual cash value may vary)

Or even if it could be sent back to notcigs for a replacement battery(for a fair price) once performance has faded, I know that isnt as good as being able to do it your self but better than just throwing it away. I am pretty excited about this for me and especially my wife who is still using her original ego clones from over a year and a half ago, she wouldnt be caught dead with the huge machines I tote around but this would be right up her ally. Though, I wouldnt mind having a smaller option as well.

Well the price is rising now ,. I am talking to some other companies about the tube ( biggest cost so far ) the range should be 3.3- 5.5 volts like the Buzz Pro

Not surprising really. Small runs are expensive. Im guessing thinner wall wont make much difference either as its still the same amount of machining to produce them.

Ill take quality over a few bucks in price. ;)

I'm in and volunteer to beta:)

That's so self-sacrificing of you, RIMP, so pure and altruistic that I'm literally moved to tears; I'm so inspired, in fact, that I'm inclined to chivalry, to throw myself on the grenade and beta the thing in your place, giving up my body so to shield yours from harm.

Where do I sign up hero duty, Mike?

I've heard this story before fom the hubby with guns... He has got a rifle to hunt with, a pistol, a shot gun, an AR15 and several others, so it seems to me he has all he needs... I got when he only had the pistol, as it seems you can't shoot a dear with a pistol! Yet he always has a "good reason" or shall I say sell as to why he needs another one. The best sell was when he was telling me how one he wanted would be good for home defense! Seems to me put a bullet in any of the ones he already has and pull the trigger, you can shoot an intruder... Don't even get me started on the bows and other stuff.

As far as PV's go, from a wifes point of view that is a harder sell as far as "need" goes. If you have one to use and one for back up that should be all you need. I think the best sell if you have more then two or three is to be honest and let them know how much you want it and how much you have saved not buying cigarettes. Just don't sell it as a "need."
