I've never had any encounters like that (thank god) but I do get alot of strange looks while driving, I think in their eyes it looks like I'm doing drugs or something. Here in MN, Hennepin county to be exact, which is the largest in the state, they just did a county wide public ban of ecigs because of the trace amounts of nicotine left in the exhale cloud...talk about nazi's

I see vaping as less of an impact on those around you than, say, wearing cologne/perfume, hairspray, or deodorant. Vapor can have a scent, and some people might not like it, but it's far more subtle than scents in a typical crowd of people.

I think it's the delivery system that puts people off. It LOOKS like you're smoking a cig. That's why I'm hesitant to vape around kids or anywhere that smoking is prohibited. I'm definitely a stealth vaper, but I don't think I should have to be!

Hold the vapor in your lungs for 5 seconds longer...it comes out cooler and instantly dissipates/condenses (if it even comes out at all)...problem solved

This is exactly what we dont need. We are trying to portray a positive image of vapors. vaping in a store being rude drawing negative attention is not going to add anything positive to our image.

This. Preach it. If you want vaping to become acceptable, you have to comport yourself as an ambassador. Remember, most people don't know what it is yet, and it looks like smoking.

I've been vaping now for over a year. When I first started my inlaws (a dozen of them) all laughed and made fun of me Vaping. Just this past July while at a family gathering, most if not all the smokers came to me and asked me what to buy because they want to quit analogs and go to vaping.

I went to the Zoo this year with my daughter's Girl scout troop. I Vaped. No problems. Went to Opening day at the Indiana State Fair with my daughter, fiancé and her 2 kids. I Vaped. People stared. 2 state police officers walked up to me and asked about the equipment and juice. One even wanted to try it. I grabbed a pre-filled clearo, put a condom on it and let him have a go at it.

As for the guy laying a hand on you. If it wasn't for the fact of being in a setting of children, that would have been considered the first punch and I would have dropped him in second. But you were the bigger man, held your composure and let him make an ... out of himself all on his own however you could have made him a bigger ... by going to the Zoo security and had him thrown out and barred from the Zoo.

My hat is off to you sir. Good show.

Nah...back just 40-50 years ago (think 40's and 50's)...back when things were actually more civil and less "nanny stateish" if you acted a knucklehead...someone put you in your place...now...they just "there should be a law against that" and POW...its "bloomberged"
