Bravo, all of you, and thank you, all of you. MY apologies for inadvertently opening a can o' worms. The discussions here (since my last post) have been marvelous tho.

saw, I did quote you in my post, but I really should have been more klear that I was reaching out to all of you.

I appreciate you guys and ladies so very much.

I know I am a few hours behind this but for me this is not just about vaping. I am quite old fashioned and a big believer in manners and common courtesy. Regardless of if something is legal or permitted, if I think it might offend or upset I will refrain from doing it. That goes for speaking my mind, vaping or anything else.

In a different discussion I had with a friend we talked about the age of entitlement and selfishness. It is my belief...... That......Just because you can does not mean you should. This is an inbuilt set of values that I see with most of the people in this thread and why I hang about.

This is also one of the few threads I get involved in mostly because of the manners and respect shown here. Maybe it's not just about old fashioned vaping gear maybe this thread is all about old fashioned common courtesy, manners and a willingness to help by knowledgeable people.

I agree, I really like it in here myself, and hope to make this a "home" of sort, if I can.

So back to tootle puffing, I think I've hit on something I can live with for juice. I mixed a little of the B&M juice, a vanilla graham cracker, with the Dragon's Fire, VERY strong tobacco with a hint of dark chocolate, about 1/4 to 3/4, the local stuff is a strong flavor! I'm really liking it! Smoothed out the dark, earthy tones of the NET juice nicely.
Now if I could just get this silly fogger working right! I have to shut off the AFC about every 20 hits and re-prime the wick. The fogger strikes again, LOL!

I am a recent convert to rayon wicking (1 month). I have never liked the taste of cotton so all the new blister pack coils that have switched to organic cotton were a huge disappointment. After exhausting my search for older BVC and nautilus coils I have learned to recoil them with rayon wicks and mesh surrounds. They are exactly what I wanted and I love the consistency of wicking.

Maybe look at the rayon thread for some pointers. All the info has been collated in the first couple of posts.

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

There is also the overlooked tootle puffer thread that has a lot of building and wicking problem solving.

Not sure Rayon would work with the design of the Fogger, there's a good reason not many people used them long! They are a notorious pain in the but! I don't know why I felt I needed a challenge so badly, but this thing is about as much of a challenge as you can get! Believe me, I've watched videos for years on this silly thing and only managed to get it right a couple of times! But thank you for the links.
Hopefully I can get out tonight and pick up the giant Kayfun, then I'll play with it and put this back into the storage box I dug it out of!

@Katdarling

Dang it! - I replied to your post in the wrong spot. It's jumbled in with your post.

I think I need to go to bed!

I found your post amidst my own, JK....... nessun problema, cara!

I've been at this seriously for a little over two years now. I do still have my original cigalike Volcano Magma kit from 2010 (with a guh-zillion cartridges laying around somewhere) It *IS* amazing how the technology has changed. I wandered back to some of the original "Picture of Your Setup" threads, which started around 2011. I would venture to say that much of that gear probably still works (especially the mechanical mods.)

Admittedly, I am somewhat of a "sheeple". I'm also technologically adept (NOT inept :sneaky: ) So, new-fangled gizmos do intrigue me. For the majority of my first full year of vaping, I was kwite kontent with EVOD tanks and VV3s/MVP2s. My "enlightenment" came when I figured out how to rebuild the PT2 heads. I then wanted a little more (even though at the time, I was STILL swearing up and down that I'd never own a mech or I'd never sub-ohm.....) But then I became even more comfortable with all this vaping stuff. I have a very firm grasp of Ohms and Watts Laws. I understand battery limitations. I then started dipping my toes into other facets of vaping.

Since then, I have broadened *MY* horizons because that amuses *ME*. If *YOU* are content with *YOUR* gear, whatever it might be, then VAPE ON :vapor: I would hope that we as a community would band together and be more accepting of each other. Instead of being the societal pariahs that we're made out to be, (we were smokers once, so we are kind of used to being pariahs) we should educate ourselves and others. I FIRMLY believe that vaping, instead of smoking, has vastly improved my health. I don't awaken with a choking cough. My colds do NOT transition to bronchitis. My clothes, car, and home no longer smell like a filthy ashtray.

I already have so many "labels" put upon me, I don't really want or need any more. My vaping styles run the gamut from tootling to klowding. Just simply know me as Dinger.

Fill out the CASAA surveys; respond to your country's Calls to Action. Instead of a "She's right; he's wrong" attitude about vaping, let's band together to keep vaping (in whatever form you prefer) a viable alternative to smoking.

/rant off

When it comes to our advocacy, PLEASE keep ranting.

Another reason I'll still shop the "Bargain Bins". Yes, I finally got a couple o' P-thingies. I didn't have to pay full price; I will have a solid device that I can use for my "tootle-range" vaping preferences. I have higher-powered mods that I can push (and even so, I don't spend a lot of time above 50W.... Just because I *have* it, doesn't mean I need to *use* it.) I have a few mechanicals. Those will keep me in "tootle- to medium-range", as I generally don't build below 0.5Ω - because that's *MY* preference.

Madame @Katdarling, it's not a bad thing for us to remind ourselves occasionally *WHY* we do this thing called "Vaping". Only time I'll prolly ever tell someone they're "doing it wrong" is if they're attempting something unsafe or something well-known to not work (such as running a 2.5Ω PT2 coil at 50W  I'm guessing that wouldn't last very long....)

I do a lot of training, and I try to preface with "This is how I learned XXX, but there are often multiple ways to get from Point A to Point B" YOU find what works for YOU.

Shalom

Shalom, Dings. And I am thrilled that you guys actually felt comfy and wanted (still want, I hope) to engage in discussions that are a bit larger, possibly more general, than the specifics of vape gear (which of course, are always welcome).

I believe strongly, that we learn from one another's thoughts and perspectives.

No worries Kat, just a couple of small misunderstandings and fortunately we managed to stay adult about it and sort it all out quickly.

I noticed. ;) And I smiled. Big time. :)

Darn right Kat...
I've downloaded my fair share and know all about sharing. I had nothing but a ego/CE4 kit vape in my hand and nowhere, nobody to show me anything about this thing and I had to learn quick. PIF even if its a personal experience or observation is still PIF and I learned from others PIF their knowledge in threads and today I sit a very happy vaper.

Doing this from my phone...
I got the giant Kayfun tonight, no discount, Grrrrr, but for $25 in hand it was worth it to me.
Pics are a 1.2 build, how I wick it, the air hole screw to remove or loctite, then the sexy beast together with a size comparison.
On the computer now, I guess I need to setup an image shack or something to post pics! Sorry for the tease, I'll work on that tomorrow.
It's MUCH bigger trying to use it than it seemed like it would be! The tank itself is at least half as tall as my Hades clone! But it was a true Tobecco, so it wasn't full of machine oil and gunk like all my other clones were. Washed it out with water and it's good to go! I didn't even try to fill the silly thing up, I doubt it's even half full with a little more than 10ml in it, it's huge!

A couple of tips for wicking them, less is more in the KF and Russian. You want the wick to fit loosely through the coil, not tight, it should just slide right through the coil, then stand the ears up and screw on the chamber, cut the ears about 1/8" or so, above the chamber tube. Then wet the wick and use a syringe, or tweezers to "glue" the wick to the floor of the deck. Don't stuff a whole lot in there, just nice and loose. Most people try and pack the wick down in there, this is where the majority of people have problems, too much wick, too much juice, and then it floods out the air hole!
Try it some time!
I use KFL+v2's by EHPro only. I do have an authentic Nano version, too. I don't use the bunny ear method. I just put the wick in, (you're right, less is more), wet it all with juice, & adjust the end that's already cut straight so that it just touches the deck, & let glue to the side of the base well away from the juice holes. Then i go to the other side & adjust the wick on that side, using my tweezrrs to press a crease into the place that i want it to touch the deck. Then trim off that little extra bit that was twisted to thread through the coil. I use KGD cotton, & I do not pull off the outside layers. It's just been ironed flat & the fibers lay straight & it wicks perfectly. I do pull the pad apart into 2 complete pafs. Each one has an ironed side & a fluffy side. It works great.

well I just got my hands on endura T18 wow, I love it! I know its not new but I have tried to find the right thing for me for so long, I found the mini nautilus tanks with Istick ok but flavour muted and the tank horrible to deal with when the glass gets stuck etc. I gave up for 10 months last year but really really struggled with equipment. I am having another go (as you can see by my banner) and I think with the T18 I can finally do this! I am even using 0mg juice and it is fulfilling my cravings because of the warm tight vape MTL and throat hit plus the flavour is insane finally a tank that doesn't taste muted!

Hi Dyanne just noticed you are from Qld welcome, there are quite a few aussievapers folk here as well.
