Dave Ramsey promotes the envelope method. Great way to live debt free.
It is. When DH was in college and we lived on my paycheck I came up with the envelopes to keep up debt free. When we retired it was time to resurrect them.

my dad taught me "the baby steps" but he only had a few steps:

1. don't be an idiot.
2. don't spend money you don't have
3. save a little bit for a rainy day

he should've wrote a book and became a millionaire.

lol.

When we started it took about 6 mo to get use to it. I know I went crazy not being able to use the cards or write a check.

So my favorite device is the Provari. I use it all day every day. I don't need TC, I'm happy with my 3.4V/7W. And I prefer tube shapes.

Anyone care to suggest a mod I can purchase to add to my stash as a backup for the backups that is the same quality and preferably tube-shaped. Quality being the most important part. I looked at the Dicodes 2380 but it's out of stock and frankly $200 is too expensive for me. And yes I know it would be overkill for a TP.

The point is I don't mind spending the money so I can buy a dependable, quality device. I even considered the radius. Any advice?

You could try an Svd2. Maybe a bit large for your tastes. You can find them cheap. I don't know of many tube mods. If you want Quality look for another Provari.

I cant do classies cause I'm not verified. To get verified as you know the easiest is Paypal or ebay. I don't do either. The third way requires being vouched by three verified members and I simply will not ask anyone to do that.

I'll keep looking. Something will turn up.

I HATE HATE HATE pre-orders. Did that once, and after a ginormous wait got a device that was discontinued like 2 days after it finally arrived...

No NEED to ask - I will be very proud to vouch for "YOU" (especially since I know where Ya' live . . . ;) ) . . . BTW: That is how I got verified when they started this policy a few years ago . . . AND - There are many sellers that were more then willing to accept payment via a MO too . . . Matter of fact, I had a couple of ECF Friends paid via "PayPoop" for "Me" and then I sent them a check/MO to cover the cost and any expenses . . . Also, they would accept payment if I was selling something and send me a check/MO . . . Worked out real well . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)
