When we moved to Arkansas, we had nothing... well, 7 trailer loads of crap and critters, but no house, garage, storage building... just the crap and the critters. Stepdot said she would not make the move withou running water and interner. I spent a week in advance of the move digging a trench, laying pipe, and building a "doghouse" to hold the modem, router, and phone just to appease.

yeah when I first moved deep in the woods here, I never had electricity or anything....... It took the miserable electric company about 6 months before they could install poles and run power to me......... Then, after I got the power, I couldn't get internet connection for several years. I still can't get cable or anything way out here.... I am currently using 4G internet as that is all I can get here, except for satellite internet , which sucks.

Sounds like a ton of work. But I know you gotta do what you gotta do. I have been the Family Guy for decades myself, and it's going to be weird living just for me.

    ok so you are running

    .5Ω @ 30w/460° // then 6mg of 60VG%

lotta room to change around there :)

all in the vein of trying to lower the TEMP of the vapor going down your throat but still makes you happy

    eg: .75Ω @ 30w/380° // then 12mg of 50%/50%

and I am just trying to "tweak" what-ya-run so you can be at perhaps a safer vapor temp
you might have all the provisions in front of you to make a few changes and see what happens... :D

    or I could just shud-up  :)
I will definitely be playing around with all the settings and options and I thank you for your input. No need to shud-up. ;) I will say when I built this coil I didn't really do it through steam engine. I did run some hypotheticals through but when building time came I just built for the deck, .5 just happened to be what it came out to. Juices are usually 6-9-12, I can swap between them all without noticing much difference. I get enough nic/pg throat hit, what I'm after is warmth and a satisfying level of vapor density.

That's dedicated, but I can see why with your follow up post. ;)

I've got some Lemos. You can actually cut the airflow down to zero if you turn the adjuster all the way. Although that's not as easy as it sounds, the adjuster ring is hidden inside the base and it's so loose that it opens up sometimes after just a few puffs. I spent quite a long time adjusting the air and making different coils, trying to make it run like a KFL, but it never really worked. In the end I gave up and opened up the airflow. I can take long cool DTL pulls on it at fairly low power. It's nice to have a choice sometimes.

I think tanks have a natural way to be. If you mess with that you aren't going to get the best out of them.

I have several Lemo, Lemo III, and the Melo that came with mods. They haven't impressed me for MTL vaping. But then, I'm comparing to my favorite Kayfun that was designed for low watt vaping, so I'm probably expecting too much.

I certainly fit that description of shying away from TC. Wattage mode just seems more straightforward. That doesn't mean that I'm not willing to try though!

TC is great on a mod that fully supports it. Setting TCR to the right value is crucial (some don't come set correctly for specific wires). After that, you set the same wattage you normally vape at in wattage mode, but there's a special place to set it for TC mode. Then. set the temp top stop you like (I like 400F). After that, you can just go into TC mode and vape or switch back and forth to wattage mode or TC mode.

TC mode is highly dependent on the type of wire in your coil. There are several mode settings for various wires that you can set up.

The advantage of TC mode is battery life and protection from hot vapes that create formaldehyde or diacetyl or other chemicals you don't want in your vape. It varies battery voltage to maintain the temp and you'll see some increase in vape time on a battery. Some say 1.5 times the battery life that wattage mode delivers.

That and the dreaded potential for carcinogens was what I was going for. :) Without TC (if you're vaping that hot) you're guarantees to get the nasties. With TC, it's just a risk.

If find TC mode with SS316L wire at 400F, TCR at 92, and 10 watts to be very similar to my wattage mode 10 watt vape.

It depends on the mod, though. My Pico 75W and 200W are true. The Alien, not so much, but it only goes down to 15W in TC mode. I'm hoping that FW V1.3.2 will fix that. I just found out it exists and haven't loaded it yet. TC is one of the things they fixed.

I own about 9 guitars, but I can only play one at a time. :)

My 20 something mods would look pitiful next to Shawn's collection.

Kinda the same here,I've got a Lemo v1 and no matter how I set it up I could never get a vape that worked well for me and I tried for a good long while.I gave up and went back to my KFs.

:offtopic: Kinda of - but then again not, especially since it was discussed in a post previously . . . Well - I thought it was very funny that I would come across this article in the newspaper this morning . . . . ;)

Does swearing make you stronger? That’s *&$#@%

Does swearing make you stronger? That’s *&$#@%

Wellness Q&A Drs. Oz and Roizen

Q: I read about a study that said swearing makes you physically stronger. I can see yelling before a karate chop, but swearing? What’s the deal? – Anthony A., Rego Park, New York

A: Yes, we had a good laugh from that one. The study was done by doctors in Athletic Training, Health and Exercise Science at Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York. The study was reported to The British Psychological Society in Brighton, by a teaching doctor from Keele, England. Maybe he was hoping to justify swearing, since the normally “Keep calm and carry on” Brits have been swearing a lot more recently, just like we Americans.

But seriously, what the researchers were trying to show, besides a very Brooklyn sense of humor, was that vocalizing when exerting energy can release adrenaline and make you stronger in the moment. And, it’s true whether you’re a Russian weightlifter or a tennis diva. But swearing? Can you imagine the two tennis howlers, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka, letting fly four-letter expletives every time they hit a tennis ball? (BTW, Martina Navratilova believes that that, in tennis, grunting “is cheating, pure and simple” because it disguises the sound of the ball hitting the racquet, which an opponent uses to gauge the power, spin and depth of an incoming shot.)

In any case, while making loud noises, including swearing, can make you stronger in the short term, it also can backfire. If you can’t control the hormonal/adrenal flow, it could have negative effects on your athletic performance, cause poor judgment and damage your overall health; excess adrenaline can impede functioning of your cardiovascular and immune systems!
