I couldn't help but think of Star Trek, where they are always looking for a source of Lithium crystals.

Did you know that places with higher lithium in the area have lower suicide and homicide rates? I could never figure out if that study was true, I think they were using Sweden and Norway or something... AND the weather and light availability is pretty dreadful.
I love it when they talk about lithium in Star Trek too! I would have been on it years ago if it were not for my vanity in my twenties. I get this stupid rare side effect where it ate away at my teeth. After being on it 6 mo and needing 3 root canals, plus 11 cavities fixed, I gave up. I have gotten stupid rare side effects from many EFFECTIVE meds, but eventually I decided sanity was worth having dentures....

I thought so, too. The link I posted listed Lithium crystals as the fore runner to Dilithium crystals.

I've been a trekky for long time. A couple of years ago I went back and watched the original Star Trek series in its entirety on Amazon Prime Video, then went to the spinoffs and watched most of them. That eased the boredom of riding my exercise bike.

another factor in mental stability or well being is the magnetic field of the earth.
Where the magnetic field is strong people are well grounded and less likely to be wars and mental stability. where magnetic field is weak or practically non existent the reverse is true. one theory is the strong magnetic field affects the hemoglobin in our blood.

this has to do with the Schumann frequency of the earth.
in 1952 W.O. Schumann that the earth has a magnetic frequency. it used to be very very low such as the 4-5 hertz range. that was fine but solar flares impacted the frequency, nuclear tests and power generation all over the world the Schumann frequency has raised to almost cycles a second. recently the frequency spiked to 36 cycles per second. Thank God the frequency only spiked for a short while and went back down.

the problem with the rising earth frequency has to do with the assorted frequency of brainwave patterns.
here are the assorted levels
Delta (Deep Sleep
Theta
Alpha
Beta (Normal consciousness
SAC (Shamanic State of Consciousness. Kensho or Nirvana are Buddhist names for this level of consciousness.
SSC is experienced by very few people. in This state the brain operates at about twice the speed of normal . these few people are Shamans' Yogis, high level Buddhist and very elite martial artists. Thats why they almost have eyes in the back of their head.
so what does the Schumann frequency has do do with a major increase of mental problems?
the answer is the Schumann frequency affects the brainwave patterns of human beibgs
if a person hasn't been taught to modulate their brainwave patterns via meditation. their brainwave pattern fluctuates much like a cork floating in a jacuzzi.
when your brainwave pattern was in the Delta range 3-4 cycles per second people get the deep sleep they need. With the frequency up around 8 cycles per second that is the Theta brainwave pattern this is light sleep where it is hard to get to sleep and hard to stay asleep.
if a person doesn't get the sleep they need for days or weeks at a time they LITERARY GO INSANE.
I have been a martial artist for 51 years and been practicing Zen for almost as long. Then 44 years ago my Qigong master (Lao Tsang) taught me how to go into the Delta brainwave pattern. I have to say that your body is completely asleep while the brain is fully awake is a WEIRD experience.
with my years and years of training is why I call myself "Not Quite Human.

well puffer tootz. I'm sick. I don't think my nose has ever been this stuffed. lol I normally vape and exhale through my nose (mtn if you will) and I can't. lol. I've tried hot showers, nasal sprays, shots of vodka, and OTC medicine.

something with pseudoephedrine which you have to get at the counter with an ID to "prove" you aren't gonna make .... with it

That could do it! Maybe just a smear
Massive amounts of vit C may help get through it quicker, but won't do anything for the current symptoms.
Mix up some menthol juice?
