It "Should" still take original Single Bottom coils if im not not mistaken, but if not you could try a PT3 Bottom Dual Coil.
Kanger Upgraded Dual coils, and Kanger VOCC coils are BDC's for the Aerotanks and Protank 3's!

Hope you get it figured out, if not we will try again! :D
Aw thanks, Mikey. That's very helpful. I tried a single bottom coil with no luck..a smidge too long. Nuts...going to have to purchase a pack o' different ones.

You're a doll.

Cheers

The protank single and dual coil have the same thread on the base. The difference is the height on the chimney. The duals are taller and won't work on a single coil tank. The singles will work on a dual tank if you put an extra silicone grommet on the chimney.

Are you using authentic or clone coils and tank?

Quite sure both are authentic. The PT2 was given to me but does say Kangertech Mini Protank on it.
Seems to me it wasn't the chimney that was too long...it looked as though the end that screws in is a tad shorter than same spot on the PT2 coils I have.
I'll have to dig out the coil from the garbage. Maybe I can take a pic.

Shall return later.

I should've been clearer. What I meant was the same juices I buy from the B&M are lighter in colour straight off the shelf.

Maybe Mr. Flakes is right - p'raps they've changed the ratios.

They didn't clear it with ME first! :)

Might just be fresher stock, then. And some flavors would sell better than others.

Since you're talking about the base threads, a smidge long will likely work. Just don't crank it down on the battery.

And you can swap out the chimneys if you have length issues.

The base threads or the "stem" that screws in appears to be a bit shorter than the pt2 coil. I couldn't reassemble the tank with the pt2 coil in.

Sigh.

the problem is the size of the DUAL coil 'body' changed

you can't swap the coils /// dual to single tank or single to dual tank
because the air tube IN THE TANK is different lengths
either it WON'T go in (to catch threads), or the air tube won't reach to seal

if you like the tank and it is in good shape, just buy a new base to fit it

:thumb:

you can get a PT 2 mini for like $5 bucks
.

Thanks puf! (Someone must've gotten the word out to you!)
I actually haven't tried the tank. It was given to me some months ago and I'd forgotten I had it.
The PT2'S (which I'm used to and I like) are about $20 here (B&M). Might just splurge and get one :)
I really appreciate you responding.
Cheers

I remember back when…
Kanger Aerotank/Genitank Mini tanks came out
The hot thing was to buy a replace air flow base and put it on your PT2 mini
It was ‘way-cool’ :p those were like a glass sharpie

:)

Kanger Protank and Aspire Nautilus used to be my favorites. They are also the tanks that made me change over to rebuildables. Kanger coils started dying in a day with open solder joints on the nr-r-nr wire junctions. I experienced the same with the Nautilus. I was getting about a day before they opened up.

Has Kanger changed to welded wire since then? Apparently, they've fixed the problem since no one is complaining.

Anyway, I went to the Kayfun and never looked back. I still have a few boxes of Kanger and Aspire coils left from back then.

Thanks everbody, I think Mikey guessed right...it's likely an Aerotank Airflow Control (on a Mini PT2) and I'll need different coils.

Cheers!
I think its the same coil mine is but you have to use the single coil I have basicly the same setup Pt 2 use the single coil aerotank is dual. No matter what base coil has to match the tank from what I've read I'll check that out here in a min. and let you know if it's different.
