Kanger vapers, if you've never tried a rebuildable you might just kick the factory coil tanks to the curb if you try one. kayfun made me box up everything else. In addition to the flavor and vapor superiority I suddenly found myself saving about $50 a month from not buying factory made coils.

Madvapes has been my Hangsen source for a long time. I suspect they mix from Hangsen concentrate and do 90pg/10vg mixes. At least it's bottled from bulk into their own bottles. They sell 50ml bottles for a good price.

I've thought about branching out and trying some U.S. vendors who purchase direct from Hangsen in China. I haven't done that yet, but here are some links that look good for Hangsen. Most of them sell 10ml and 30ml bottles. I like larger bottles since I vape about 200ml a month.

Caterpillar Vapes boasts 220 flavors of Hangsen juice direct from the Hangsen factory. They are NET (naturally extracted tobacco) liquids, so you get more of the flavor and aroma of real tobacco, but with greatly reduced risk of carcinogens and the bad stuff that combustible tobacco produces.

I wondered about the risk of NET vs synthetic flavors. It looks like vaping NET isn't that much of a risk after all, given the data in Dr Farsolino's tests.

I've ordered from Caterpillar Vapes...my "go to" pre-mix juice is Menthol Sensation which I still use to "season" my DIY menthol (0 nic...I use it like flavoring). Anyway, even before I did DIY I was using the Menthol Sensation (with nic) by Hangsen. I love the stuff and I have had good experiences with Caterpillar Vapes. Was really glad to find them since MVS is rather expensive for their version of the same juice. (saves me about $4 a 30 ml. bottle at Caterpillar!)

Jus my :2c: (I pinch em hard too!)

Say what? $50 a month on Kanger coils? That's flabbergasting to me, like $20 over my monthly vape allowance! :D But i can't comment on the accuracy of the statement since the only Kanger coils I've ever bought are the ones that came with the kits or replacement tanks. I immediately rebuild them cuz the silica wicks are trash *for me*.
Was recently given 2 brand new Tootle RTAs that I'll probably never use. The Kayfun Clone is just ugly as sin. The Lemo looks pretty good but too reminiscent of a jig saw puzzle. Both twice the size of my PT2s. Eh.
If you're wicking your Kayfun with something other than silica I wonder if that's where a lot of the improvement is coming from?

Kanger Protank and Aspire Nautilus used to be my favorites. They are also the tanks that made me change over to rebuildables. Kanger coils started dying in a day with open solder joints on the nr-r-nr wire junctions. I experienced the same with the Nautilus. I was getting about a day before they opened up.

Has Kanger changed to welded wire since then? Apparently, they've fixed the problem since no one is complaining.

Anyway, I went to the Kayfun and never looked back. I still have a few boxes of Kanger and Aspire coils left from back then.
Never had a Kanger anything. All my Nautili are in the Vapocolypse box. I just gave all my coils to a niece because they were all 1.8's. I want to restock on 1.5 or .6. That seems to be where I like my rebuildables.

I've never bought authentic Kanger. All I've ever bought are Clone kits and tanks. I immediately rip out the junk silica and coil. Never noticed any nr-r-nr in them. But I do rebuild them with 2.4 nr-r-nr wires from FT. 50 precoiled wires for $1.84. They seem to last forever. Then I (currently) rewick with cotton cheesecloth.

Rayon.

Not sure which clone you're referring to, but I like the look of the "regular" KFs - most of mine are EHPro. And like Kenna, the 2 intake versions are a superb vape. Yes, bigger than a PT2, but hold more, are easier to rebuild, and don't need a new base to get air flow control. ;)

I have to admit to still using Protanks 2 and 3 and an Aerotank. I've got, I think, 4 rebuildables and kanthal wire in my "future-proofing" stash but I've yet to take the plunge and build a coil :D

My KF Clone is a 'Rocket'. Lemo is authentic V1. I do have an Ehpro Squape that I used for awhile but at 5ml that thing is a TANK as in Abrams.
Was gifted some Rayon in a tradea few weeks ago but have yet to try it, might not. I discovered cotton cheesecloth about the same time and really like it. I liked KGD for a long time but trying to reproduce the same amount of wick every time was like a frustrating guessing game Rayon looks like it would be the same deal. With cheesecloth I can count the threads and duplicate exactly the same amount of wick every time and it works just as well as KGD.
I've never had need of an AFC base. Just my airflow adjusters. 1/16" for holes on the base. 5/64" for the center pin.

One of the good things about being a tootle puffer is the variety of gear that is available. I am not a fan of kanger coils and will always gravitate to the aspire side of the tracks. Their factory coils are easy and I don't seem to have the same issue that you guys are mentioning. They last me ages (clear high PG mints and menthols) I have only one that is a coil gunker and even that lasts me weeks (70% pg 2.2 ohms 8 watts)

I have a range of gear that I use some of it is rebuildable but most of the RBA tanks are too much for how I want to vape. Rebuildable coil heads, rebuildable cartos are about as far as I will go.

During our one year we have seen every type of tootle puffer imaginable and everyone one of them has their favourite way of vaping and type of gear they prefer. If we can help them with appropriate answers to their questions and support with any hiccups they have then I feel we are doing the right thing. This is one of the few threads I participate in because it seems to not have a bias towards a particular set of vaping gear just a style.

Whatever works.,.......is a good mantra.

Those Aspire BVCs rocked in my eGrip! I rebuilt one but no way to rewick without replacing the coil. That I could see. Then moved on to the RBA base for the eGrip. EGrip was finally retired then PIFed when I traded my Cloupor Mini+ for a bucketload of PTs

I have done verticles in my Kangers, but same deal. I didn't like tossing a perfectly good coil jus cuz the wick needed replaced.

I consider myself lucky, I learned way back, early on two vital things when I made the conversion from cigarettes
the hot 'flavor of the week' was the kanger bottom single coils (bcc), the ProTank would be released soon...
I liked the T3S mini and found out the 1)T3S coils would go into ALL kangers (not other way around)
then second 2) I seen a UTube video of a dude 'recoiling' a kanger bcc coil

being a mechanical geek I thought, heck I can do that, so I bought many T3S coil bodies
and started recoiling my own and never looked back for about 2.5yrs...

Oh, I see. Looks good. I was trying to replicate the original vertical design. Think I saw RIP do it. Yeah your way is obviously more rewick friendly.

To be honest I only started re wicking these coils when they changed over to cotton wicking and big holes. I dislike cotton and anything I rewicked was in silica untill I found rayon a few weeks ago. I still have a stash of factory coils that I use all the time. I vape quite a bit but I am still only using in average 5mls a day. Cheap as chips in my mind.

Why not. Rock off the cover.... Remove wick and put new one in....replace mesh and replace cover.

Sorry misread you post. You want vertical. Any vertical will need a rebuild. Horizontal works fine for me.

I do like my Kayfun V4's Looking for more and am going to try the Mini V3. They are in my backup stash. With how cheap replacement coils are and the convenience of them I will keep using them.
