You all might like to know on this Memorial Day weekend that a significant portion of our national defense woke up this morning and had cold pizza with warm beer for breakfast.

That's how they roll. God bless America!

Is there ever a time when you don't want to fan out your wick and keep it compressed?

Fanning your wick in public is frowned upon, but other than that...

Cool :) I've never owned a provari :( I've found a provari mini though and I'll be getting a dicode soon, I'm sick of having mods that last two minutes!

It's always the best and the greatest until the next best and greatest comes along right? Which Dicodes are you getting? My Procyon was the best and the greatest until I saw the DaniBox, that was my last best and greatest until my Billet Box came along, I really think this one might be the best and greatest.....

Toaster oven with tinfoil underneath the slice, 350 degrees, about 10 minutes. It used to be bake for the time it takes to have a smoke, but those days are long gone. :thumb: I like the crust and cheese to get browned and crispy again.

It sure is frustrating this morning with all the error codes from the server.

Have you tried the skillet with the lid on ? It puts the toaster oven to shame! Crispy crust and melted cheese. It's perfect. I used to use the toaster oven too until someone told me about the skillet !

How he heck did you get a billet box? I've been trying for a year to buy one of those at retail.

I paid above retail [emoji15]. When I went into the site 3 weeks ago to purchase a ratblack and placed the order in 3 seconds as soon as they opened it up and it was sold out, I knew that it wasn't going to happen paying retail through the site. So I bought one through the Friendly Flipper on Facebook, higher than retail, but fairly reasonable.

I also just purchased a red one this last sale from the site that I am going to sell to a friend. If you are ok not getting black, purchase another color. If that sale doesn't go through, keep F5ing on the site after that initial few seconds that show them all as not available. A few others kept popping up after that over the next few minutes after the initial ones. My guess is some people try to order more than 1, the sale gets cancelled, and then they release them after that?

I don't have an electric skillet, but wouldn't a covered frying pan steam the pizza and make it all soggy? The part I like most about the toaster oven is that it dries out the toppings and browns the pizza.

I have not been on this thread in five months, so I thought I'd just run through and say "Hi" to a few old friends.

And maybe a few new ;) HI!
Tempe, AZ? Hmmm... well, I guess with thunderstorm season approaching down there, a "rainsong" is certainly appropriate. Hi back at ya!

Only a few thousand pages since I was last cruising this neighborhood, DP, so I somehow doubt us farmer types will find the time to catch up more than the last half dozen of those. I see this thread still moves at warp speed too...

I know a secret trick if you promise to not tell anyone. I do it all the time (but nobody's caught onto me yet). {COUGH!}

Straight to the last page, then post something that looks relevant, so it appears that I've been there the entire time. Kind of like you just did! :thumb:

Monsoon season isn't what it used to be around these parts, I lived for it when I was a kid, running around playing in the rain. What is coming though is Hell on earth 120* weather and insane electricity bills.

Turning away from this thread for a few hours can leave one a few hundred posts behind, can't imagine how many after 5 months!

Harrumph. My husband is SO MEAN. I showed him a pic of a stabilized wood Dani Box and asked if he would get it for me... scrolled down to the price and his eyes popped out of his head, only $500  He did buy the Radius for me, he's not really mean. ;)

Been there, done that. Seems to be a natural way to save my tired old brain. Chasing cows and horses and chickens doesn't leave much time for forums.

Yeah, I hear that. I did a year and a half in Tucson back in the early 1970s (yes, I am an oldt phart) and almost a year at Grand Canyon in 1990. I suspect -- especially in the Phoenix area -- this high temp and high humidity problem (AC house to AC car to AC office building) is directly related to the vast number of retirees from "up north" trying to water their lawns like they did back home without thinking for a moment that the desert just doesn't want it that way.

It at all. I don't mean an electric skillet. A frying pan with a lid is fine. Low heat. Takes less time than the toaster over and works better. It does the opposite of soggy. It makes the crust super crunchy. The lid is to redirect heat and moisture to make the cheese melt perfectly. Try it!

That's what we have been trying. I'm fine with color other than black. I won't do the flipper thing. This company is leaving so much money on the table by not expanding their production it's ridiculous. Clones are coming out and if they're good it will at least force the company to drop the artificial supply constraints. Early reports are the clone that's just about here is fantastic. And it will be under $100 and use a DNA chip I believe. I try to buy authentic but I'm not jumping through hoops or promising a first born child to get one.

Edit ok it doesn't take a DNA chip but it's $70 and they're coming early June.

My hope is the clone is so good the authentic company actually starts meeting demand rather than lose customers to clone sales.

The clones are by SXK and they are being bought up left and right also. There are ones with SXK's 60 and 70 chips and there is an even more rare one with a Evolv DNA 40 and 60.

I got one of the 70s and it arrived DOA... LOL, I've never had that happen before but I'm getting full reimbursement. The thing was so well made (except for the DOA chip) and reviews are so good that I took it as a one off and purchased another one before I even returned the dead one. SXK is also making many of the popular bridges.

h00l, are you sure that's what's going on with BBV? I actually am not sure that's accurate info, but perhaps there's info that I don't (yet) know.

"artificial supply constraints"?? Again, that does not match what I know of this company... not at all.
