I don't think I'll track fills but I have wick, wire, build details/date and liquid.

That's what I have on my spreadsheet. Word table actually.

I keep 6 tanks going. 3 KFL's. One with 2 air holes, one with 1 air hole, and a mini. A Lemo, and a Lemo Drop. And a Nautilus. So they are all different and easy to identify. Used to have PT's going as well but I don't use them much any more.

I'm still figuring out what coils works best for me so having a record helps. Also reminds me when to replace wicks. I'm still not very good at telling when a wick is getting past its best. And some juices work better in particular tanks though I don't know why.

I used to have a bunch of different flavors, now it's just 4 regulars plus a couple I'm working on. Used to have a lot of tanks running too and never knew what coils or juice were in each. Doing it that way I never really knew what was working or how get it working better. Simple is good.

I decided to start donating my large collection of Spinners and PT minis to new vapers. I've given out 2 setups recently and both of them are doing well. I'll supply them with juice and heads for a while. I used to push smokers to change over. That never worked out. Now I wait until they come to me and ask.

I can not be without my handy dandy spreadsheet. I run an embarrassing number of set ups and I track all fills, all rewicks, all new coils, dates, capacity, the whole 9 yards. I also notate the tank, the vliquids, the accoutrements to that tank, and of course the mod. Oh, and clean out dates, too (noting the tanks that have been washed out and ready to be in service again).

It's KRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYY.

But I enjoy it.

Just head over to TEMCo Industrial Power Supply and throw 26, 28 & 30 Kanthal A1 in your cart and pull the trigger. Can never have enough wire... you can even buy it by the pound. I have those 3 sizes but find I use the 28 the most.

Yes, the posts that it's not as robust as the heavier wires (28, 26...) are true. But heavier wire takes longer to heat - and to cool. So more time on the button before the magic vapor appears, and a longer draw after releasing the button to finish cooling - and not cooking - the coil and juice. Now, if you have a mod that will do a pre-heat at mega power levels, that may not be a concern, and, of course, it may not be a concern to anyone but me

ALL resistance wire will degrade over time, generally shown as a slow increase in resistance. Smaller wires will drift out of your preferred range sooner than thicker. And yes, easier to deform when rewicking. But I like the fast action of 30, so it's something I put up with.

Then again, with at least 10 KF2Ls going all the time (different flavors), I only need to recoil any specific one every few months anyway, so...

VERY good idea to get some in different gauges and try them all, to fine what works best for you and your style of vaping!

AS for when to rewick... when the flavor starts to go away, or you find that you need to bump the power up for a satisfying vape, time to clean, dryburn and rewick. IOW, if it works, don't fix it.

I just use the KISS method so that I won't need a spreadsheet.

However I do color code my driptips & bottle caps so that I remember what flavor is in the damn thing.

I use these Identification Labels Avery® Assorted Neon Removable Color Coding Labels 6721, Handwrite Only, 1/2" x 3/4", Rectangle, Pack of 525 6721 | Avery as I would forget what color tip went with what flavor.

They're small enough to fit most atty's and the glue washes off easily (with a little hot water).

Granted they do take away from the aesthetics, but since I have over a dozen tanks filled with different flavors, I can't think of a better way to label them.

It means regrading the yard to keep water out of the basement.

10 yards of dirt moved so far, about 5 more to go. All by hand, one shovel full at a time.

I did hire a neighbor kid, for a while, to help. I figured that surely a 16 year old would be able to out work someone in their mid 60's. Able, yes. Willing, no.

I've recently tried 29 gauge and 2.25 coils based on @h00ligan's input and find the 29 a nice balance between 28 and 30.

Soooo, I just got to see what the inside of a Jac Series B looks like...

Thanks to the erlk vomiting overnight.

I'm thankful I was able to reassemble Jac and it seems to be ok.

User error, of course, but I'm not sure I'm on board with an atty that has such finicky wicking. I don't find it to be superior to the kompact Kayfun so erlk is going to live in the "whelp that didn't work out" pile.

Sorry, S&S - I missed the question earlier. I didn't intend to ignore you - apologies.

Regarding speed, basically as fast or slow as I want/need. Sometimes I leave them intact, in which case they're relatively slow. For things like the Billet Box, that's a good thing.

Some I snip just a BIT off the top. Depending on how much, it can be as fast as an open bottle.

Basically, there are no "right" or "wrong" tips, since each of us have our own semi-unique needs. Because I need the range (slow to fast), I find that the pink (20g) ones work best for me.

I should also point out that I don't use high VG juices, which is very relevant here. 65-75% PG is good for me.

Thanks for replying. With my slightly higher vg content, I find that when I try and use anything smaller than a 14 gauge, it seems to take forever to fill a tank, so I was curious about the smaller gauge. I do know that there is no right or wrong way to do anything related to vaping so I hope you don't think I was being unreasonable in asking.
