I do an assembly line to fill my tanks. Usually when the start the day tank needs filling. So once every 2-3 days.
I'm trying to get to the point that I set up my assembly-line only twice a month. :D

I've never had a bottom fill flood or gurgle. top fill "____ yes"
Me neither. The spitting phenomenon where the burning hot droplets hit the back of your throat and trigger a 20 minute coughing fit was something I was not prepared for after happily vaping my protanks for 1.5 years incident free

Sounds like a great idea. They don't make prefered tank anymore so I am stuck with the 50 or so that I have.

I went to the recipe site to see what I could make based on my flavor stash. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve mixed anything other than Lucky Latte and Butternut Cream. I’ve about 10 I’m about to try. I’m really hoping that I’ll finally mix a recipe with strawberry that I actually like!

I have a strawberry cream that was good enough to make a second time if you are interested.

In the video, he literally says it's a pita, and he got juice on his hands in the process.

Top fill was supposed to make filling easier/ more convenient/less messy with respect to bottom filling. You are supposed to be able to fill with the tank still on the mod. In my experience that hasn't been the case and it makes me feel kinda ripped off. I feel like that Ares design might be a winner though. I want to get stuff that's better than the stuff I already have.
I don't know what to tell you bud, I share the info because it was super helpful to me... definitely not a pain to do (its super freakin easy so not sure what is so painful about it, but that's me) and does not create a mess.

BUT.... this method is for tanks that DO NOT HAVE A JFC... I think you mean JFC was supposed to make filling easier... any time you top fill a vacuum tank that does not have JFC without using the method above you have the potential for leaking from the airholes.

I have no idea what tanks you have been using that didn't fulfill their sales pitch. The tanks I know with a good JFC (KF mini v3, by-ka v6 etc.) have been leak free.

You misunderstood him... at 1:12 he says that this method is "very, very easy way to fill"... what he said was painful was the normal bottom fill method on the KFL .

This method is simple and easy :)

I don't see it that way. The liquid all over his hands was most certainly not a figment of my imagination.

If the process to simply fill a vessel with fluid requires you to type up an itemized list with 8 bullet points and countless instructional videos on youtube to be posted, it has left the realm of simple and easy. I never had to watch a video to fill an Aerotank or an Ego One; never needed an itemized list to figure out how to light a cigarette - that's because those things are actually simple and easy.

He most definitely says it's an easy method (1:12) and never says it is difficult.

Never a drop of liquid spilt in my experience...but take it or leave, it was only meant to help not argue over.
