Thank you SO much! I always forget to read the comments or check the FT forum (which I don’t participate in, but is probably useful nonetheless)

I never read the reviews but do look at the discussion as sometime they are very useful and have links to get to the right place.

As I’m looking at colored replacement glass, I’ll be sure to get authentic. The red rubbing off the cheap-o replacement glass really alarmed me!
Hopefully that’ll be made of higher quality materials!
ETA: is it safe to assume authentic would be higher quality or is it always suspect if coming from FT?

I think it was Maxvaping or something like that. I will try to find a link.

Replacement Glass Tank for SUBTANK Mini - 20mm

Size 22mm Diameter by 20mm High

These do NOT fit the 30mm SUBTANK Mini (4.5ml), only the 20mm high (3.5ml) version. They are stained with color, so be careful as certain acidic juices and abrasives will remove the finish.

Note: These are NOT made by KangerTech.

If is says authentic, it is as far as I know. As for colored glass I have no idea about it. I didn't even bother getting spare glass for mine.

If I end up breaking that many I will just go to my all steel KF's

It’s weird, one time I dropped a tank on concrete and it didn’t break and then later, I dropped a different tank on CARPETED floor and it cracked! Makes no sense to me!

I blame it on gravity.

I have broken 2 in over 3 years so I am due to be a clutz really soon.

Um, it's safe to assume that when FT says authentic, it IS from the stated maker. Better quality? Depends on the maker

If FT says it's authentic, it's authentic. However, glass can be authentic and not come from the original equipment manufacturer. There's no such thing as cloned glass.

Almost ALL colored tanks are colored with an external film. Exceptions would be plastic/acrylic/ultem/resin tanks. Mineral glass tanks (like cobalt blue or amber) might also be an exception, but as I've never seen one, I think they're a myth.

Best bet? Get clear, and apply your own film externally. Just use a thin water based adhesive, a removable adhesive, or cling.
