I remember some smokers used to hold the smoke only in the mouth without taking it to the lungs. Wonder if they still do it vaping..?

I used to always MTL inhale my ciggies for 42+ years. But with my vapor, I bring it into my mouth and just part way down the back of my throat...then exhale out through my nose and/or mouth. So I'm not MTL or DTL vaping. The only times I ever bring any into my lungs is when I'm giving my DTL vaping friends a giggle or 2 for S&G, at my puny clouds.

I usually vape at just 3.0v with a 1.2 or 1.3ohm coil in my Berserkers now. So...I like a luke warm vape at just a tiny little 6.9-7W.

Yeah I find myself doing that more lately. Draw a mouthful then softly swallow it, and let it wonder out through the nose in its own time....:thumb:
I like the French roll to. Take a mouth full and slowly let it out, while inhaling it through the nose. I like the tickle it gives in the nasal cavity.
For me, vaping is a slow it down and relax affair...;)

I'm sitting here contemplating..I always loved the smell of tobacco and the smoking of it. I only really tried stopping after my 35th year. It took about 7 years after that before I eventually succeeded...all thanks to vaping.
Now looking back I never really smoked because I wanted to..I smoked because I had to. I was addicted.
Since I started vaping (I only do tobaccos), I do it purely for the pleasure...I vape because I want to.
I slowly started realizing that over the last few months. I can go without vaping for extended periods without without getting uptight as I used to when smoking.
Anybody else notice the same thing...?

Absolutely - just came home after 4 hours out & about. Didn't vape - and it wasn't the first thing I needed to do when I got home.

Vaping takes away that whole 'I need a smoke now or else' mentality

I do it by accident. If I'm busy doing something interesting I can go for quite a long time, but as soon as I consciously remember I haven't vaped for a while the spell is broken and I have to grab one quick.

I'm not there yet but I'm only 44 days into my latest quit attempt.

What I am noticing though is that before I seemed to need almost a constant stream of nicotine into my system. If I wasn't smoking I was using some form of oral tobacco or chewing nic gum. Now it seems that after vaping for 6+ weeks I can set the mod down for a few minutes every now and again. So maybe I'll get there.

I chain vape if I'm not doing much, but I'm sometimes astonished at how long I can go vaping wise, without really noticing if I'm busy. That was not the case with smoking, not even slightly. I think it's different for everyone and man I chain smoked all the time in the beginning and well,. it's gotten easier.

I don't quite understand the vape effect, the last time I went to the movies I didn't even stealth vape, felt little need.

I used to hate going to the movies. Quite a lot.

In other news, I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she seemed quite excited that I had exchanged smoking for vaping. She's my psychiatrist though so she's looking at things from more of a mental health perspective, but for all the negativity about vaping you hear from "authorities" on health a positive perspective was kinda refreshing.

I really wish I could vape at work right now. Not in a "I gotta have nicotine now" way (I've got gum), but in a "I want to go outside and sit at the picnic table in the shade and have a break" sort of way. That's one thing about vaping that I really appreciate over other forms of quitting smoking, it maintains that "break time" aspect. You can't get that from a patch.

I don't think it's a lot of 'authorities', either. Just a very vocal minority. Doctors who deal with Cardiac and Pulmonary patients seem to be cautious, but optimistic. They cannot wholeheartedly embrace vaping, until there is a lot more study done. A lot are taking a wait and see attitude. None of mine have anything negative to say, at least, and applaud my quitting decision.

The minute I saw Ilpo's surprise it occured to me that I didn't say volts or watts. My bad . It's 3.4 volts, 7.8 watts.

Then that makes me Dina the dinosaur ;). Mild menthol and koolada, 50/50 PG/VG.
Wondering out loud: Does vaping menthol allow some of us to enjoy the lower wattage? With the proportion of menthol I enjoy in mine, it gets pretty intense with a wattage increase, and I back off the power.

I just received some 6mg sub ohm WTA from Aroma. Dripped it in the little Galaxies rda and opened it up for a DL. Works a treat (but it feels odd). After a few hits, I feel like i've smoked a light cigarette....:w00t:
I still prefer it closed right down in mtl mode.
That makes me want to try some WTA. Only my non-existent budget is stopping me at this point.

It might, but I suspect there are a lot of other factors as well.

I don't use any menthol, mint, koolada, and typically vape at about 8.5 watts into a 1.5 - 1.8 Ω coil.

Air flow either 2 mm via a KF2L or 3ish with a Skyline, and having a draw that's close to a cig is a necessity for me. Never smoked menthol, so never vaped it :)

I heart my Aroma WTA juice. But I intend to wean off of it specifically because of the expense. If you do get some you can just use about 20% in a mix (assuming the WTA is the same strength as your regular juice) and still get a nice effect. So that helps with cost some, but if you're getting by without it I would probably would pass if you're cost sensitive.

I never could get into menthol, I've tried both smoking it and vaping it. But I have found that koolada in the right mix is very refreshing. I could see it possibly becoming overpowering at higher wattages though.
