I'm ALWAYS optimistic when getting something new, or seeing it for others. It would be silly for to buy something NOT feeling that way.

Even if it's something I know and have used, I'd still feel that way for someone else buying it. Whether I liked it or not would be totally irrelevant (which doesn't apply in this case because I've only read about it).
