I have been doing a lot of reading on the forum about the REO -- it seems everyone loves it.

I have an eGo-T and would like to try the REO (my eGo leaks a flood). I have some questions that will seem incredibly stupid to most of you; I'm just too new to vaping to know the answers. If you can answer one or more of these for me, I would really appreciate it.

1. It says the REO Grande does not come with a battery, atomizer or cartomizer, or liquid. What else is there to a PV? Is the REO Grande basically a device that carries all that stuff on-board, you just have to supply it for yourself?

2. I went to the REO site and virtually everything is "Out Of Stock" -- do they just sell out fast? Or am I looking at the wrong site?

3. Will my eGo-T battery work with a REO Grande or the Utile Quiltedmaple 3, which looks great and happens to actually be in-stock? What about my Boge 510 2.0 cartomizers?

Can anyone show a photo of what a REO Grande, or one of the wooden ones, looks like when it's really all set up for vaping? What about the inside of one?

I know these are a lot of questions. I really appreciate any help you all can give me.

Best,
Roland

Welcome to the forum, as you can see, we all love our REOs here. To answer your questions, #1-The REO is a Bottom Feeder Box Mod. It basically puts all those elements together so you can vape from it. #2-Yes they do sell out fast, I know there are some 18490s in stock, I haven't looked at the Grands or Minis for a while so don't know if they are currently in stock right now or not. #3-Your eGo-T battery will NOT work with a REO, byut your Boge 510 2.0 cartomiers will, that is what I use. If you will go to page 3 of this forum, and look at the thread titled: "My Woodvil 18490", which was started by Rhapsodies Fire it will show you very good pics of the REO interior. (sorry I can never figure out how to link a thread)If you have additional questions, fire away!

Hi Roland!

WELCOME! :) Not stupid questions at all. Essentially, yes, a REO is a battery box with a juice feeder; however, it is a battery box where every decision has been thought out to make it work perfectly, clean easily, and feed juice without leaking, all in the smallest size possible with a bullet-proof build. Basically, walk out the door with a REO Grand, and you don't need anything else for the day (not even paper towels )

This is a good thread to read: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...if-reo-your-first-mod-what-you-will-need.html

Thank you!

People here are really, really friendly, and I really appreciate it!

Some more questions then. I read the thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...if-reo-your-first-mod-what-you-will-need.html. I am about to order these batteries:

AW 14500 IMR Rechargeable Battery - Batteries & Chargers - OVEREADY Flashlights/Torches - Control The Dark

Will that be good for this REO?

http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?p...product_id=411&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=3

Also, would this REO be a good starter for me?

Those batteries are for the Mini. The mod that you selected uses 18490 batteries: AW IMR 18490 (18500) 3.7V 1100 mah

Personally, I would start with one of the metal REOs unless you just love the wood. The metal is all mechanical, and, if size is an issue for you, the Mini is only slightly larger than a Zippo. The Grand is the most versatile, allowing the use of different voltage choices for batteries, and the basic set up (18650) will last all day.

Rob is continuing to add Grands to the site, and I'm pretty sure that there are Minis available. All of the woods are one of a kind.

Ok, thank you for the advice.

What do you think of this one to start with?

The 18490 Woodvil, is almost the same size as the Grand because it is wood and has thicker walls.

Black and Silver is a classic combination :) I LOVE Minis, but some people don't like to change out batteries, even though it is easy to do. If you vape 3ml or less per day, a Mini is a terrific choice. If you vape more, get a Grand, which holds a 6ml bottle of juice.

Thank you. Does that mean the REO itself is a smaller model (than the Grande)?

The metal REO is currently available in two sizes, the Mini and the Grand. Here is a good photo comparing them to a standard business card:

One more question:

All REOs seem to have an on-board reservoir. It's my understanding that a cartomizer (I have some coming in the mail, but I've never used one) combines a liquid reservoir with an atomizer.

If I were to use a Boge 510 2.0 cartomizer on a REO Grande, would I fill the REO bottle, or the cartomizer, with the liquid?

OK, thank you again. I love the wood look to be honest, but it seems like the site has nothing available in wood, in Grande size.

So this seems to be the only Grande in stock:

Classic black, hard to go wrong, right?

The wood ones are special, and only available when Rob has time to make each one by hand. I truly hate to discourage you from one if you really love it. OTOH, if you can only have one pv, and you need to be able to take it anywhere and rely on it all of the time, a black/black Grand would be my pick.

You fill it with the bottle in the REO, and keep it wet that way. easy peasy, no bottles of juice to tote around.

Fair enough. I can see that most of you have (many) more than one REO, so I can always add a wood one later. I am going to buy the black/black Grande.

Should I buy anything else from the REO site before I check out? Feed tubes, extra bottles, etc etc? Any advice appreciated.
